Nigeria Accused of Jailing Peaceful Protesters While Offering Amnesty to Terrorists

When the US President Donald Trump said Nigeria was a disgraceful country, some people went mad, condemning the statement. But when you look into the ills happening in Nigeria, you will understand that Nigeria is worse than a Disgraced country. If there is any worse adjective than the word "Disgrace", that's good to describe this country.

A country that is complicit in the ongoing genocide against Christians is worse than a Disgraced country.

A country that pays ransom to terrorists rather than fighting back is worse than a Disgraced country.

A country that pleads with terrorists to take amnesty and walk away free is worse than a Disgraced country.

A country that rewards terrorists by employing them to join its security apparatus is worse than a Disgraced country.

How can the Nigerian government arrest 52 innocent people of Edo State, whose only crime is protesting the continued killing of their loved ones by these terrorists, have been detained for several months to date, but on the other hand, the same Nigerian Government is releasing the terrorists who killed people in their beds and still killing without apologies? How else do you want Nigeria to be addressed? This is the height of injustice.

In the same country, the Katsina State government initiated the release of seventy (70) terrorists, claiming that the move was part of the efforts to sustain a peace deal with armed terrorist groups operating in the state. If this isn't a show of disgrace, what is? The world is watching and taking note of the danger of allowing Nigeria to continue existing as a sovereign State.

We, the Indigenous people of Biafra from the southeastern region of Nigeria, will continue to seek the support of the United States of America and Israel to achieve our goals. As a predominantly Christian region, we feel that our safety is at risk while remaining in Nigeria.
