The tag of IPOB as a Separatist Group by Nigeria Government is deceitful and extremely malicious.
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is a group seeking for self-determination which is enshrined in the UN chatter of which Nigeria is a signatory to.
The continuous attempt to sway the mind of the world against IPOB is criminal and must be challenged any day and anywhere. It is dead on arrival because IPOB exists in over a hundred countries in the world and still counting. There hasn't been any record of the activities of IPOB anywhere as a Separatist Group.
We the Members of IPOB challenge them to produce evidence of their claims and sue them in any court of competent jurisdiction.
The Nigerian state has illegally abducted thousands of Biafran activists and locked them down in various dungeons without trial. So many have been executed in extrajudicial manner.
The leader of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who was extraordinarily renditioned to Nigeria from Kenya has been incarcerated and denied medical treatment by Nigeria government in the dungeon in the past one year and a half for being a leader of IPOB group. This action is not only wicked but criminal and an abuse of right to human dignity both locally and internationally.
By the reason of extraordinary rendition, no court has the right to put him on trial. This fact has been addressed by Federal Appeal Court in Nigeria which Discharged and acquitted Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on the 13th of November 2022 and all the frivolous charges thrown away. The court went further to direct the Nigeria State to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu without further delay.
Unfortunately, the Nigeria Government which now possesses both Executive and Judicial Powers has vehemently refused to obey this ruling.
It is also on record that the United Nation working group had in July directed the Nigerian Government to immediately release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu unconditionally and pay him compensation for human right abuses, and still, the authorities remain adamant.
Following the forgoing, it is very clear that this latest narrative that IPOB is a Separatist Group engaging in terrorist activities, should be ignored by well-meaning people. It is false and unfounded. This is a ploy to continue intimidating Biafrans and seeking for self-pity while gradually maiming and reducing the population of Indigenous People of Biafra.
The hypocrisy of Nigeria Government is glaring when you watch the way they pamper the Fulani Herdsmen, ISWAP, ISIS AND Boko haram, world most deadly Terror Groups. These groups are released every day from detention and many conscripted into Army or Police where they are causing havoc.
It therefore imperative that this false narrative by the Nigerian government is meant to demonize a globally recognized self-determination body of IPOB led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who is presently illegally held by the Nigerian compromised system.
