Yesterday was rough for me. I was almost attacked by Asari boys. I was inside a commercial bus at a traffic light waiting for our turn to move. Suddenly I saw a group of boys like Bouncers dressed in black rounding up another commercial bus in front of ours. Two were dressed in police uniform with guns, they ordered the driver out with threats to deal with him. The driver got down shaking in fear... as I watched the scene unfolding right in my eyes, I asked our driver what was going on. He said they were Hope Uzodinma thugs working with Police.

They humiliate and extort car owners for nothing. I asked what was the driver’s offence, he said maybe as we were all waiting for the Light a passenger may have stepped down from the bus without even the knowledge of the driver. That is the only reason because the driver was in front of us also waiting for the Light.

At this point, I was so upset with the level of intimidation, humiliation, arrogance, impunity and broad daylight robbery.  I said "Oh my God, when shall Imo State be free again." One of them heard me clear and he turned was lashing at me with fire..."See if I hear anything from that your dirty mouth again, I will strip you naked here and flog blood out from your skin till you die and nothing will happen. You think we’re Owerri boys? We’re Obiakpor boys from Port Harcourt. We’re here to reset you people brain, thunder will fire you there, open your mouth again."

Everywhere was dead silent. I was the only female in the bus. All the men including the driver were dumb and fear enveloped them. By the grace of God, the light beamed and our driver speed off from there. This is how bad it is now. Imo state is under siege and the people seems conquered.
