The court proceedings for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), continued yesterday in Federal High Court Abuja. The short session featured a significant moment as Kanu entered a not-guilty plea to the seven allegations made by the federal government of Nigeria, sparking intrigue and anticipation for the upcoming hearings.
Throughout the proceedings, Kanu's principal lawyer, Kanu Agabi SAN, presented an apology to the court on behalf of his client for an eruption during the previous sitting.

The court then adjourned the case to April 29, May 2, and 6, 2025, for additional hearings. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's representation included a team of experienced legal professionals, such as Kanu Agabi SAN, Uche Njoku SAN, Maxwell Opara, and Aloy Ejimakor Esq, among others. This instilled a sense of reassurance in the audience about the quality of his defense.

The trial has not only gathered national interest but also sparked international attention, becoming a central topic of legal and political discussions in Nigeria and beyond. This has facilitated a sense of global connection among the audience.

Note: It is not doubtable that many people who travelled from different parts of the country and world, including relatives of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, were interdicted from entering the courtroom by DSS operatives. Some Journalists were also restricted from covering the court proceedings.

With this attitude of the operatives of the DSS, it is not arguable that Nigeria is not safe for anyone and doesn't deserve to be called a nation.
