This short article was born as a result of private chat, in the course of which it was lamented about the enormity of our (Biafrans/Igbos) losses in Nigeria, because of the universal hatred and fear against/about us. I suppose that some of us can equally critically, objectively, realistically, and independently synthesize this view, and draw personal conclusions...
It is really painful that we are LOSING TOO MUCH in the contemporary Nigeria, but what our future GENERATIONS stand to gain is enormous, and in comparison, with what we are SACRIFICING, OUR SO-CALLED LOSSES lose significance and relevance. If we remain idle (complacent or indifferent), we'd just be taken like birds without wings.

Please, don't take these occurrences too much to heart because they are hurdles we must jump in the course of our journey, as we are actually CONFRONTING EXISTENTIAL THREAT, which, if we fail to deal with now, will ultimately drown us all in destruction and destruction.
The invaders will use your own people to trap you, while pretending ululation. There are some things we know, by the benefit of experience and hindsight of history, that are driving this vision.
They include, but not limited to the synergy and potency of the combined forces of the voracious and rapacious predators (Conquistador mentality). This is part of what we are contending with, but we don't expect everybody to understand it.
Do you know about aborigines of Lebanon, Turkey, Australia, and even Hausa land? It is because we are living in the consciousness of the perils of imminent or ultimate extermination and obliteration, that we have resolved that, like the lepers in the story of the siege of Samaria, we better be doing something.
Otherwise, since it is that if talk we die, if we remain mute, we still die, let us rather be doing something, knowing that from both ends, death awaits us, as God usually rewards such determination with victory (2 Kings chapter 7 verse 4).
Is it not the fear of death and loss of material acquisition that they usually apply to arm twist, blackmail, intimidate, threaten, frighten, and pressurize us? Now that they have seen that many people are no longer in the bondage of that fear, do they still constantly apply it? Have we heard of any person that died twice? People must make sacrifice to reach the ultimate destination.
Do you know how much the story of IGBO LANDING influenced the stoppage of slave trade? Do you know what role our activities are playing in reshaping the world, and presently birthing MULTIPOLARISM against what used to be known as BIPOLARISM? Every freedom is obtained at a VERY HIGH PRICE. That price must be paid by somebody, or a group of people.
I'm sure that you know that what we are doing is not for the immediate benefit of our generation any more. We are a spent generation. The benefits of the present sacrifices, which is viewed in the common parlance as Biafra advocacy, and in some other places as AGITATION, are for our GENERATIONS yet unborn. The gains of freedom can't be quantified, nor meaningfully compared with anything.
Bearing the above in mind, we'd resolve, like Shakespeare's Macbeth, that "they have tied us to a stake, we cannot fly anymore. But bear-like, we must fight the cause". We are assured by Chukwu Okike, that since our cause is just, and not by in any way hurtful, harmful, or jeopardy to anyone, we will eventually be victorious.
