The widespread of terrorist Fulani herders in Rivers State is alarming. It is true that they are spreading all over Nigeria with their jihadist mindset to conquer the indigenous people and grab their ancestral land. What makes the case of Rivers State peculiar is that the people are either ignorant of the mission of Fulani herders who are speedily occupying their land or they are scared to confront this impending doom.

While the other States especially in Igbo and Yoruba land are checkmating the excesses of these terrorists whose only purpose is to kill, rape, destroy, and occupy the space; the people of Rivers State are doing absolutely nothing to stop the mayhem.

A very painful report from our reporter has it that few weeks back, an indigene of Afam in Kom-Kom railway axis of Obigbo in Rivers State, was passing by a farm. He was confronted with cows eating up crops and destroying the farm. He searched around for the Herder who must have led the cows to such destruction but he couldn't find anyone. He decided to drive the cows away with a small stone he picked up.

Suddenly to his surprise the Fulani man appeared before him and asked why he was driving the cows away. Before he could recover from the shock of the sudden appearance of the Fulani man, he saw him pull the trigger and shot him in the leg. He fell down bleeding. The terrorist herder warned him never to try stopping his cows next time because he may not be lucky to stay alive and tell the story. The man was rushed to the hospital and there was no arrest. Not even an alarm raised by the people to stop a re-occurrence.

The more dreadful side of this story is not just the man shot. It is about the sudden appearance of the Fulani man amidst the cows. Several other times these herders have been captured on camera having sex with their cows. There seem to be atom of truth in the rumours that most of those cows are human beings.

Question is how safe is the consumption of these cows?

The impunity with which they operate in Rivers State is mind wrenching. There is another incident that occurred in Rivers State. Terrorist Fulani herder invaded a church at Tarry night (Midnight prayer). He walked up to a man who was putting on suit, asked him if he was the pastor of the church, the man responded that he was not. He moved round a second time searching for the likely pastor of the church and he confronted the same man again, but he still told him that he was not the pastor.

At this point he warned him that if they should return again and see them there, they would all be dead men. He told them that they are there to stop churches and even the government can't stop them because it is a mission that must be met.

As soon as he left, the service ended and they all ran for their dear lives. It is very sad that the indigenous people of Rivers State are not seeing this looming danger that is about to consume them. A full-scale war is kicking very hard at their doorstep and they are busy with frivolous issues. Rivers State must wake up and secure their territory from these monsters whose only mission is to kill, conquered and occupy. They did this to their host, the Hausa community in the northern Nigeria.

The indigenous people all over Nigeria have risen up and containing these murderers. We must stop their jihadist plan as long as we live.

Lastly, everyone must be security conscious now, every religious gathering must fish out strange faces in their mist, they must ensure they have adequate security measures in place before gathering in numbers.

Remember they move into large gatherings with their weapons and bombs on a suicide mission. Do no risk the lives of the people in your churches. A word is enough for the wise.
