Those that appear to be known with the unpleasant traits, attributes, characteristics, or identification, especially when such classifications appear to be inherent on a generalized note, will always find a 999999 reason to justify and validate the fact that it is always the chicken that is responsible for the death of the cat.
One of the most topical and heated issues under discourse in Nigeria in the recent past, was the MMESOMA and JAMB result saga.
No need to bore anyone with the details we are all conversant with, especially how it took JAMB about two months to debunk the authenticity of the result that was circulating all over the world, how MMESOMA herself, in the initial stage narrated how the SMS was sent to her, and she followed up with printing the result from the JAMB portal, as the website directed her, how the announcement was made, leading to her being awarded various scholarships, how JAMB suddenly came up with the strange story that her result was fake.
Also, how the result emanated from a portal that JAMB stopped using since 2021, how MMESOMA and her parents were arrested by the DSS, how Anambra State Ministry of Education was involved, how they were all interrogated, and promised that investigation should be carried out by DSS and that the findings would be communicated to them in a number of days, and how it was not up to twenty four hours, without communicating their findings to the parties involved, the news was circulating everywhere that MMESOMA forged her result, and how she was "thoroughly" questioned, and she admitted forging the result, and therefore, tendered an unreserved apology.
It is in the light of the above salient and prevailing situations and circumstances that we are still curiously asking what really transpired, especially, behind the scenes?
Why was the JAMB portal, which was said to have been discarded several years ago still available and accessible? Who facilitated the reachability of the portal? Who sent the SMS that got to MMESOMA with which she processed the printing of her result? What was the target of those behind the continuous functionality of the said portal? At what point did their harmonious and symbiotic relationship with MMESOMA collapse?
Furthermore, seeing the dust the issue of MMESOMA raised, and the likelihood of making a few heads roll, or the possibility of unmasking a very deadly syndicate, the next thing everybody heard was that MMESOMA had owned up to the "crime" and had apologized. Now, this hurried "owning up and apologizing", for me triggers another chain of susceptibility and questionability.
Why should a teenager, who came to the internet, together with her parents, to narrate her story about herself and her JAMB result, suddenly and automatically turn around and convict herself?
Was she pressed? Was she pressured? Was she frightened? Was she threatened? Was she cajoled?
If you know how decomposed Nigeria is, you can agree, without equivocation, that the child MMESOMA, must have found herself within any, or a combination of the above circumstances, FORCING her to hastily capitulate, for her safety and that of her family.
In all these, the lesson remains that Nigeria is a CRIME SCENE, with various absurdities, which would ordinarily have been aberrations, but are treated as norms, thereby levelling everybody to the category of moral misnomer and abhorrent delinquent.
When the above is put in proper perspective, it will be clearly seen that the operators of Nigeria, who are merely holding brief for the owners of Nigeria, UK, are validating and justifying the DEMAND by Biafrans for peaceful #BiafrExit through an UN-supervised #REFERENDUM.
REFERENDUM is a democratic process, and is not a Rocket Science. It is in accordance with @UN's ARTICLE 3 with regards to SELF-DETERMINATION. This simple matter of referendum is not too much a demand by Biafrans.
