Part 2: Is Nigerian Government Deliberately Demobilizing Biafrans Through Economic Genocide to Incapacitate Their Census Participation?

 April 22 2024 | State Media

During the dispensation of Olusegun Obasanjo as the president of Nigeria, when what appeared like a census was conducted, Ralph Uwazulike, as the leader of MASSOB, beckoned on Biafrans not to align, support, nor identify themselves with the exercise, because it was fraught with fraud, having been premeditatively determined.

It was ALLEGEDLY on the basis of this plea that the federal government of Nigeria deliberately excluded Biafra land from the exercise, and ended up assigning pitiable and laughable figures as the population of Biafra, all in a bid to validate the ridiculous claim that Biafrans are very few in number.

Now, another shambolic exercise called census is about being conducted in Nigeria. Truly, the times are different, as IPOB has long been sensitizing Biafrans about the importance of the census exercise, especially with the emphasis on RETURNING TO BIAFRA LAND TO BE COUNTED, SO THAT OUR FIGURES WILL NOT BE ASSIGNED/ASCRIBED TO OTHERS, even as we keep pursuing vigorously the restoration of Biafra.

This sensitization exercise by IPOB has permeated the sensibilities of Biafrans, to the point that almost every Biafran has resolved to align and comply.

It is for the fact that the Intel of this resolution got to the British government that they changed tactics in their genocidal atrocities against Biafrans.

Apart from intensifying the jihadistic and terroristic activities of both uniformed and non-uniformed terrorists in Biafra land, to heighten the fear of insecurity, Britain, through the Nigerian security forces, have been destroying and burning the homes of Biafrans, all over Biafra land, with a view to ensuring that those returning home to be counted are overwhelmed with fear of uncertainties.

Again, the multiplication of the activities of terrorists, baptized as bandits by Britain, (kidnapping, assassination, disappearances, hijacking of commuter vehicles with their whole passengers, etc) on Biafraland-related journeys, are worthy of note.

Is it necessary to start mentioning midnight invasions, massacres, arson, farm destructions, and looting of communities by terrorists, masquerading as Herdsmen?

Most appallingly, and painfully pathetic, is the case of state-sponsored, or tacitly approved large-scale destruction of the properties and markets of Biafrans in various parts of Nigeria, especially, the south west region.

Is it not almost every day that mass demolition of the properties of Biafrans take place, with one flimsy excuse or the other? How many markets, predominantly occupied by Biafrans, have either been demolished, burnt, or overnight, served with relocation notice, which is followed immediately by outright demolition?

All these are done as various targets, with the sole mission of ensuring that Biafrans don't return to Biafra land for the census exercise, by reason of overwhelming fear, environmental intimidation, economic displacement, or financial incapacitation.

However, they are all to no avail, as Biafrans always deploy their 100% literate population and 0% poverty level to neutralize all the mischievous and terroristic schemes of both British and Nigerian governments towards Biafrans.

Epilogue
May it be stated very emphatically, unequivocally, i.e. unambiguously, that the DEMAND of BIAFRANS remains unchanged, simple, and straightforward. That DEMAND is a #UN_supervised #REFERENDUM.

No matter how much British and Nigerian governments strive to make the demand for REFERENDUM to look like a call for war, the fact remains that #REFERENDUM, as an integral part of SELF-DETERMINATION, as enshrined in ARTICLE 3 of the UN CHARTER, as well as incorporated into African Charter on Human and People's right, is a fundamental and inalienable human right. The earlier British and Nigerian governments understand and align with this incontrovertible fact, the better for everyone.
