Many people who may feign ignorance, or are actually ignorant about Biafra's yearly Remembrance Day on 30th of May every year, could be asking what Biafrans are commemorating. We can only scratch the surface of what necessitates this annual occasion, as the intricate and complex reasons are inexhaustive.

Starting from the time that Britain encountered #Igbo_Biafrans centuries ago, the British have been enveloped with fear, and have been terrified about the uniqueness and peculiarities of Biafrans, which have prompted them at every turn to ignite or trigger one form, or magnitude of genocide or the other against #Biafrans, using the local population.

There had been pockets of genocidal attacks against Biafrans before the failed Nzeogwu-led revolution, upon which the #HaroldWilson_led British government capitalized, to instigate and galvanize other Nigerians to ventilate their fear, which was packaged as hatred against #Biafrans.
It was the successful galvanization of other Nigerians against the Biafrans, which was achieved mainly by the use of BBC network, that triggered the spontaneous and simultaneous massacre of Igbo_Biafrans all over Nigeria, under the remote guidance of #HaroldWilson's British government, represented by #SirDavidHunt.

No need to bore anyone with the events which led to the #ABURI_ACCORD, and the rejection of the ACCORD by Britain, and Britain's compelling Yakubu Gowon to repudiate the #ABURI_ACCORD, and the unabated, coordinated, spontaneous and simultaneous massacre of Biafrans, as desired, instigated, supported, sponsored, and sustained by British government under #HaroldWilson.

It was this unmitigated brutal massacre of Biafrans by British government, using Nigerian government and Nigerians as tools that led to the declaration of Biafra as a sovereign state, to provide the basis for Biafrans to defend themselves, seeing that Nigeria under the guidance of the British government, had not just turned hostile, but equally beastly monsters against Biafrans.

It was this turn of events, which was apparently aimed at exterminating and annihilating Biafrans, which made almost every Biafran to volunteer to defend Biafra, that led to the death of millions of #Biafrans, in the hands of Britain using Nigeria and Nigerians as mere tools.

Apart from those who were murdered in the mindless massacre called pogrom in different parts of Nigeria, in what Britain preferred to call a counter coup, there were millions of young boys and girls, who out of patriotism fell under the British bullets and bombs, delivered under the cover of @GovNigeria as they defended Biafra.

There were other millions of children, elderly men, and women, who were victims of British trademark starvation, as they came under the notorious land, sea, and air blockade, which ensured that no humanitarian supplies like medical, food, and other essential materials ever reached Biafra.

One cannot fail to remember all those Biafrans who died as a result of the cruel, sadistic, and mindless raining of bombs by USSR-made fighter and bomber jets which particularly targeted schools, churches, hospitals, markets, homes, and worst of all, refugee (IDP) camps. Millions of Biafrans died in these painful circumstances.

Should we forget Biafra's gallant soldiers, who despite all odds, without arms and ammunitions, even while starving, without as little as uniforms and boots, but with only the inspirational words of our eternal leader Ojukwu, and their self-resolution to overcome monstrous jihadistic genocidists, displayed exceptional resilience that made them to be applauded all over the world?
