The evil bird is yelling again in Nigeria, I therefore call on the international communities and the world at large to come to the rescue of Biafrans, one of the major ethnic nationalities in that contraption called Nigeria in West Africa Organization of Africa Unity (O.A.U.) should stand out now for justice and fairness.
The heinous comprise of O.A.U. in the issue of Biafra was made manifest in the resolutions of the Assembly of Heads of state and Government of the Organization of Africa Unity which was held at Kinshasa and Algiers.
The Resolutions read: "The assembly of Heads of state and Government of O.A.U. in its Ordinary Session at Kinshasa, Congo from 11th 1967, solemnly reaffirming their adherence to the principle of respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of member states. Reiterating their condemnation of secession in any member state, concerned at the tragic and serious situation in Nigeria, recognizing that situation as an internal affair the solution of which is primarily the responsibility of Nigerians themselves.
Reposing their trust and confidence in the federal government of Nigeria, desirous of exploring the possibilities of placing the services of the Assembly at the disposal of the federal government of Nigeria, resolves to send a consultative mission of 6 Heads of state to the Head of state Federal Government of Nigeria to assure him of the Assembly's desire for the territorial integrity, unity and peace of Nigeria". By the Kinshasa and Algiers Resolutions stated above, O.A.U have facilitated the territorial integrity of Nigeria and the undue foreign interference in the Nigeria crisis.
However, it has been suggested that the OA.U. Consultative committee on Nigeria has not succeeded so far in finding a solution to our civil war because of the restrictive nature of the Kinshasa mandate.
I do not believe that this is the case, the first step which any sincere peace maker in the Nigeria conflict should take is to decide whether the civil war in Nigeria should be settled on the basis of one or a multi-dimensional country.
Any organization which is interested in offering its good services must first and foremost adopt an attitude to the vexing question of secession, which is the question that differentiate Biafra leaders from the rest of Nigeria.
Constitutionally, Ibos (Igbos) as a people and other national ethnic nationalities in Nigeria are entitled to the security of their persons and their properties. Conversely, the Biafrans in Nigeria are confronting different degrees of calamities on daily basis. Igbos are being killed anyhow everywhere in Nigeria, the injustice and inhuman treatment being meted out on Ndigbo in Nigeria today cannot be over emphasized.
The attacks on and killings of peaceful IPOB protesters in Biafra land and the most recent incident that happened on 31st March, 2023 at Aba, Abia State points out the obvious. Uncountable number of IPOB members are incarcerated in different cells in Nigeria such as abattoir cell and others without trial, only because they are fighting for their self-determination.
Consider the case of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu Who was illegally renditioned from Kenya to Nigeria and was terribly dehumanized. Although Nigeria courts including their Apex court has exonerated him of all charges and discharged and acquitted him, he is still being detained in the dungeon of the Nigeria DSS till date.
Another is the 2023 presidential we election held on 25th February 2023, in Nigeria in which
Mr Peter Obi won outright but he was rigged out simply because he is an Igbo man according to the speech of Mustapha El-Rufai and it was not considered as a hate speech.
The list of such is enumerable. To all these, OAU has kept mute because the victims are Biafrans, the lamentations of Biafra people fall on deaf ears. No one cares to know the reasons for our yelling or to salvage us from the horrific traumatic dehumanisation and victimization we are facing in Nigeria.
If we speak out, they send muster against us to massacre us and they accuse us of terrorism. On the table of O. A. U., they cajoled the Indigenous people of Biafra and call us miscreants. All our legitimate moves to get Justice has failed and we are left in a state of qualm and quandary.
In the light of Kinshasa and Algiers Resolutions stated earlier, Gowon in his opening address at the O.A.U. assembly acknowledged the laudable and significant role of O.A.U.
In facilitating the territorial integrity of Nigeria and the undue foreign interference in the Nigeria crisis and said... Unless BIAFRA leadership gives the O.A.U. the opportunity to settle the Nigeria war by peaceful negotiation on the basis of the Kinshasa and Algiers mandate, the federal government will have no option but to carry on the military operation to its logical conclusion no matter how long it takes... and this has remained the plight of the Biafra people in Nigeria to date.
Now his own state is now seeing what we Biafra have seen, before calling for freedom. The disparaging remarks of O.A.U. about Biafra and Biafra people and the genocidal war backed by O.A.U. which claimed the lives of five million Biafrans is heinous.
But O.A.U still keep quiet why watching all this atrocity been committed by Fulani headers and Nigeria government against the innocent citizens. This is Heinous against the innocent citizens of Biafra and Africa as hold.
Free Mazi Nnamdi Kanu now.
Let Biafra go.
Biafra, we stand.
