The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, is in over a hundred (100) countries of the world. Such a movement cannot be a terror group. They have addresses, bank accounts, meetings, and hold ceremonies. They occasionally congregate in some countries of interest, such as America, Belgium, Germany, London, Germany, Switzerland, Malaysia, etc. Bokoharam, Bandits, Fulani Herdsmen, they have none of the above. These are the people that are supposed to be called Terrorists. They possess all the qualities of terrorists, such as Killings, abductions, Kidnappings, Rape etc, but IPOB does not participate in any of these things. So, it is illegal for the Nigerian government to tag IPOB as a terrorist group. It is an injustice to the core. This is precisely what Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been fighting to get justice for his people and has been passing through in the Nigerian court; it is evident that he will never get justice there because the Nigerian judiciary is in shambles.

 

Again, Sheikh Gumi, an Islamic activist advising the Nigerian government to arm Igbo Youths to fight against IPOB, is another injustice. Sheikh Gumi, who is supposed to be punished and put in jail for hobnobbing with bandits, is moving freely in Nigeria. If he is an Igbo man, he will be in prison by now. Anyway, one thing is to give advice, and another is to execute the process. Igbo Youths are Indigenous people, so they are members of IPOB. They cannot fight their own, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu made them to understand this, so that advice is dead on arrival.

 

DOS (Directorate of State) of the Indigenous People of Biafra press statement on the January 28, 2025 Biafra post explains everything. In their statement, they are " not under any illusion about the plan of both internal and external forces working in cohesion to execute the age-long agenda of exterminating the Indigenous People of Biafra and taking over our Ancestral Land and Resources". The age-long agenda indeed, the hatred and killing of Indigenous people of Biafra, has been there right from time immemorial. The fear of hatred and killings has not stopped and will never stop them from fighting for their freedom. They will not stop until victory is achieved. Northern Elders are against the restoration of Biafra because they know that it is the only way that will end the hatred and killings. 

 

Why has Sheikh Ahmad Gumi not been arrested for preaching hate? Can someone from another Tribe in Nigeria say what he said and go free? They are the owners of Nigeria, those born to rule because they believe Nigeria is their grandfather's estate. Is this not enough reason for other Tribes to go their separate ways? Biafrans are aware of this, hence the agitation for a free Nation. You cannot be in a country where some are favoured while others are being suppressed and cheated upon. It can never work, which is why Nigeria is still backwards to date. Separation is the Solution.
