The British government, having established Nigeria, did everything possible to maintain the unity of this creation, which was flawed from the very beginning. Despite the incompatibility of the tribes forced to coexist, they showed little concern. Their primary interest lay in their commercial gains and the resources they extracted to bolster their own nation.

A criminal is someone who is not content with what they have; Britain exemplifies this notion. They propagated a false narrative against Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu and the Igbo nation to continue exploiting the natural resources of Biafran land. Their greed led to the genocide of the Biafrans, resulting in the deaths of over three million individuals at the hands of a coalition of global powers.

During the Biafran genocide from 1967 to 1970, millions of Biafrans were slaughtered in cold blood for crimes they did not commit, all due to the lies told about them to the world and other tribes. There is an adage: "One who rides in his father’s car should not speak where bicycle owners converse." Britain is a perfect example of this, acting as a parasite on the Biafran people while presenting itself as an advanced nation that depends on plundering other countries through deception or force.

Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida’s recent publication, claiming that the coup was not an Igbo coup after decades of hardship endured by the Biafrans, is nothing but hypocrisy and evil. It offers no solution to the pressing need for the dissolution of this British-created contraption called Nigeria.

Freedom is a fundamental right that every human being deserves, and the case of the Biafrans is no exception. A referendum is the only viable solution.
