Dave Umahi: A traitor in the pursuit of Justice for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

A reflection on the current onslaught on the people of the Southeast by the politicians, one can deduce a fresh template from their slave masters. What seemed to be a rumour, echoed by the former Governor of Ebonyi State and the present Minister of Works in the person of Dave Umahi, is now gaining public attention. It is on record that last week, he made a press statement stating that the Federal Government is ready to negotiate the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.

This came after the landmark judgement of a Kenyan court ruling that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's rights were seriously abused and, by implication, a violation of international law, considering that he was extraordinarily renditioned to Nigeria by state actors from both Nigeria and Kenya. In that historic ruling on June 24, 2025, the court declared the 2021 transfer of Kanu from Nairobi to Abuja as unconstitutional, illegal, and a gross violation of international human rights law.

The judgment confirmed that Kanu, who entered Kenya lawfully, was abducted in broad daylight at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, held incommunicado, subjected to torture, and deported to Nigeria without any legal process. The court ordered the Kenyan Government to pay KSh10 million (approximately ₦86 million) as compensation for the abuse of his fundamental rights under the Kenyan Constitution.

Justice Mwita condemned the incident as a flagrant abuse of executive power, stating that Kanu was denied access to legal counsel, medical treatment, food, and water during his illegal detention. The court found that the security agencies acted outside the law and in violation of Kenya's obligations under both domestic and international frameworks, including the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights.

With the pending illegal trial and awaiting judgment in the Nigerian Court, it has dawned on them that there is no hiding place for this evil. As usual, the Nigerian Government has delegated its errand boys from the Southeast, I mean stooges parading as politicians in Igboland, to go back to work and start making statements, as if they ever cared about the life of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu or the people of Southeast Nigeria. Dave Umahi gave the first update on the alleged negotiations for the release of Nnamdi Kanu.

Can somebody ask Dave Umahi who gave him this mandate for negotiation and on whose behalf he is engaging?

Has he and the useless Igbo politicians suddenly fallen in love with Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB?

Is there any strategy Dave Umahi has not employed to destroy Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB?

The Governors of the Southeast jointly executed the task of proscribing IPOB and tagging it a Terrorist organization. It was under the leadership of Dave Umahi as the then Governor of Ebonyi state that the state recorded the highest killings of members of IPOB in the entire country. He led the team that plotted the assassination of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Last week again, we all saw a viral video where Prof Charles Soludo, the present Governor of Anambra state, alleged that Igbo youths are kidnappers and murderers. A claim that is the direct opposite of the situation on the ground. A false allegation to gain the support of his slave masters in the upcoming Elections.

The fact is, the people of Southeast Nigeria are more intelligent than these God forsaken, selfish Politicians who are in office to sink the region economically. This is why nearly 100% of the people support the sovereignty of a new Nation called Biafra.

As we expect the Kenyan Government and Nigerian Government to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, we are not ignorant of the unending wicked plot of southeast politicians to stop the agitation for the Freedom of our people. Our eyes are on the Ball.
