The Former Nigerian President, Late General Muhammadu Buhari, Rekindled the War Against Christians

During the days of late General Muhammad Buhari, the Nigerian President and religious extremist, he was once quoted as saying, "God willing, we will not stop the agitation for the total implementation of sharia in the entire federation of Nigeria". He made this statement openly during his campaign for the presidential election in August 2001. This statement was made without apology, showing his mindset and agenda towards the Nigerian state, regardless of the diversity of tribes and religious beliefs.

In a bid to fulfil this his Islamization agenda through the total establishment of sharia law, he and his co-northern Fulani political elites imported thousands of Fulani herdsmen and jihadist militia from other countries into Nigeria to help him grab the presidential seat of power by whichever means possible.

Buhari's quest for power led him to commit so many atrocious acts against the citizens of Nigeria. He even threatened to cause war in the country if he lost the election, thereby causing tension and anxiety throughout the country.

His statement was reechoed by the former leader of Boko Haram terrorists, General Abubakar Shakau, on January 27th 2012, when he threatened the Christians to either convert to Islam or pay with their blood.

Despite these red flags, the then United States president, Barack Obama, in collaboration with the British government, whose interest is not about the citizens of Nigeria but in the natural resources in Nigeria, manipulated the 2015 Nigerian election in favour of Buhari, a man globally known as an Islamic Jihadist.

From the moment he was sworn into office, President Buhari unleashed Fulani terrorists to ravage the entire country. They slaughtered the citizens like flies, took possession of lands and communities with unlicensed AK-47s. Farmers deserted their farms, and others paid a ransom to access them.

Christians were attacked in churches. The extremists blocked major roads during their prayers, causing a traffic jam. The country was bleeding. State governors were forced to allocate state and individual lands to Fulani terrorist herders or risk being killed by the militia.

Buhari has effectively dismantled our democracy. All freedoms have been restricted and suppressed. The judiciary and legislature have become extensions of the executive branch. Buhari has weakened and rendered ineffective the two arms of government that could have successfully challenged his authoritarian rule. Insecurity, violence, killings, unrest, and all the troubling signs of a tyrannical regime have returned under Buhari's leadership. However, Major General Buhari and the profiteers of his regime seem blind to the chaos around them. He appears to be a military dictator who has turned Nigeria into an oppressive regime.

During Buhari's rule, numerous statements highlighted that the inalienable and fundamental rights to freedom of conscience and religion, as enshrined in international constitutions, covenants, statutes, and the United Nations Charter of 194, were seriously undermined and threatened in Nigeria, the most populous country in Africa.

Rising cases of persecution of persons for religious reasons, particularly Christians, are reported in the daily news. The statistics indicate shocking but very serious revelations - with over 100,000 people killed in ten years due to religiously motivated killings – (the highest in any country in the world at this time). Nigeria is not at war with another country and has never been, but there was a silent cleansing of Christians, which has continued to date.

When the current Nigerian President took the oath of office, he told Nigerians that he would continue from where the former President left off. True to his words, he has not done anything differently from the late dictator; instead, his government has increased the death toll of Nigerian Christians.

We therefore welcome the help from President Trump, the US POTUS, to help and save Christians by wiping out terrorists and flushing their sponsors and collaborators.
