A Mother's Story of Tiger Base Police brutality that led to the death of her son. According to her, "when I Was Told what happened to My Sons at Tiger Base, I collapsed, and since then I have not recovered from the shock"

"I am a mother of two boys. I carried them in the same womb. I raised them under the same roof. I never imagined that one day, a Police Unit would change our lives forever. The day my sons were taken, nobody told me why they were being arrested. The Officers Of Tiger Base came for them like it was nothing. "No explanation. No warrant paper. Just shouting, pushing them and fear everywhere." "They said they were taking them for questioning and that they would come back soon."

She said after a very long wait that ran into months, only one of my Sons came back. The other did not. The one who survived told me things that still wake me up at night. He said they beat them again and again inside the Tiger Base Police Cell. He said they kept asking questions about crimes they knew nothing about. When my son said he did not understand what they were talking about, they said he was lying. They wanted him to confess to a crime he knew nothing about, but he refused.

He reported that people were tortured, starved, and threatened. He described how screams filled the night when the roll call for those to be executed was announced. He noted that some individuals stopped responding when their names were called. He explained that fear permeated the environment, as no one knew when their night would come, the night they might be called for execution.

My surviving son expressed that more attention was given to his brother than to himself. He shared that they continually pressured him to accept a crime he knew nothing about, which caused him immense pain. He mentioned that his brother pleaded for help, but they ignored him. He cried for his brother's condition. Then, one day, it was his brother's turn, and he was gone.

"Later, I was informed that my other son had died. I wasn't shown anything clearly, nor was I given a proper explanation. What I heard shattered me as a mother. I was told that his body had been severely mutilated due to torture.

How can a mother hear this and still breathe?

To this day, no one has explained exactly what happened to me. No officer has sat me down to explain why they killed my son, whom they had taken alive from my home. No court has summoned me to a hearing. No investigation has taken place. All I experience is a deafening silence, filled with fear and immense pain."

People warn me to be careful when I talk about my son. They advise me not to mention any names, claiming it could endanger my life. But I ask myself, if I stay silent, who will speak for my child who never came home alive? One of my sons survived, but he is no longer the same. He wakes up screaming, terrified of uniforms, and jumps at loud noises. My other son is gone forever.

In conclusion, she asked for justice regarding her son's killing and for the well-being of her surviving son, who was left in poor condition. "All I want is the truth. I want to understand why my children were treated like animals. I want to know why one of them returned alive while the other did not. I want to know why the Tiger Base Police, who are supposed to protect lives, became a place of brutality."

I am not a lawyer. I am not an activist. I am just a mother whose heart was torn apart by the killing of my son.
