The invasion, sporadic shootings, disruption of worship and kidnapping that took place inside a Church yesterday Sunday 26th of December 2021 further exposes the Lawlessness of Nigeria state which has seriously birthed a monstrous Government where the blood of its citizens flow in hundreds across different ends of the nation on daily basis unabated.
This invasion that led to the abduction of Hon. Uche Nwosu at the middle of worship by masked men welding heavy Guns while shooting sporadically at St Peter's Anglican church, Eziama Obaire in Nkwerre Local government Area of the State is disgraceful to say the least.
Hon. Uche Nwosu, a high-profile Politician, former Imo State Chief of Staff and 2019 Gubernatorial candidate of Action Alliance (AA) was at the Church for the Thanksgiving Service in honour of his late mother, Jemaimah Adaeze Nwosu who was laid to rest few days back, when the attack occurred leaving several people wounded.
The masked men had arrived with unidentified vehicles, they stormed the Church premises, shooting sporadically, injured scores, beat up their target, dragged him on the floor. They whisked him away with torn clothes and threw him into their Car boot and sped off. His family members were not spared. The Wife was pushed around and the daughter manhandled. While this show of shame was ongoing inside the Church, some of these disgraceful masked men were outside the church also shooting and holding worshippers hostage.
This horrific action by exhibited by dishonourable Nigeria Security Forces points to the suspicion that the high level of insecurity which has caused the loss of hundreds of Lives in Imo State, is Federal Government sponsored.
In saner climes, Security departments are respected because they put down their lives to secure the lives of Citizens of their nations. They are guided by great principles. They uphold the justice system while protecting lives and Properties of the Citizens. Their military are trained to defend the territorial lines from external aggression.
Unfortunately, in Nigeria the Security Forces are the first perpetrators of crime in every scene. They break every Rule. They abduct innocent citizens without notice. They rob their victims at gunpoint. They kidnap, kill and dispose corpses of civilians without giving their victim a chance to defend themselves at the Courts of the land.
Imo State has been boiling with several cases of abductions and killings with fingers pointing to "Unknown Gun Men", fortunately today, with the scenario in the Church, we have identified the unknown Gun Men to be Nigeria Security Forces.
Shamefully, the Imo State Police Command trickishly issued a Press Statement taking responsibility for the custody of Hon. Uche Nwosu just to reduce tension and tone down the news of their unlawful invasion and kidnapping tagged on them.
The Police Commissioner should muster courage and tell the World that his men were masked, they weren't in Police uniform and No Warrant of arrest. The Commissioner of Police should tell the World that his men shot live bullets inside a Church during Worship. His Men disrupted the Church Service without respect.
The Commissioner of Police should also tell the world that in the course of carrying out this dastardly act, many worshippers were injured and some others collapsed out of fear. Children and old people couldn't find help as the bullets rained and people scampered.
The question we should be asking the Nigeria State is; is there any difference between this Nigeria Police Team who carried out this Invasion and Kidnap Operation, from the popular "Unknown Gun Men"? 10:16
Their mode of operation is same.
- They move with Unmarked Vehicles.
- They mask their faces.
- They abduct their target anywhere they choose.
- They beat up their victims and strip them of their clothes.
- They fling their victims in their Car Boots.
- They continue to shoot sporadically until they escape like arm robbers.
The Nigeria Police Force and her Military are responsible for the high rate of Insecurity in Imo State ranging from kidnapping, killing of her Citizens and razing down of Houses and business places. They also target our brothers in diaspora who visit home.
The Nigeria Government have undeniably proven to us that they're well equipped to shutdown Imo State without challenge because they have the approval of the State Governor.
One thing is certain, the act of desecrating the house of God by these Terrorists in uniform, will only spell doom for this evil contraption called Nigeria and the Imo State Supreme court Governor will never know peace all his life.
Biafra is the only solution to horror in southeast Biafra land. We must continue to seek for the RESTORATION of sovereign state of Biafra.
