The high rise of crime in the South-east of Nigeria is as a result of fraudulent state actors who are warming up to gain political offices in the upcoming Election. These politicians are at war with each other. But the unfortunate thing is, each time they cause a havoc, they quickly use the media to blackmail the indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB). They demonize the innocent group thereby causing hatred and anger amongst the people.
The South-east Politicians are raising monsters that will turn round to consume her. They have secretly armed them with instructions to kill and maim opponents and while achieving their aims, they blackmail IPOB in an effort to create sympathy and gain support of the gullible masses both locally and internationally.
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu with over 90 million Membership spread all over the world, is generally known as the most peaceful largest movement in the world and the last time I checked, it has not changed.
The formation of Eastern Security Network (ESN) by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was born out of negligence by South-east Governors and other political actors, who at the time failed woefully in providing security to the lives and properties of their citizens from the rampaging Terrorist Fulani herders. This terror sects were moving into the southeast in large numbers, causing havoc. They were killing Biafrans in their farms and in their sleep. They were maiming, raping mothers and young girls. They burnt down homes, farms, and stole properties of their victims. These crimes were not restricted to the South-east alone but entire South-west and middle belt suffered same fate.
While the other Governors from southwest quickly mobilized their youths and commissioned them as a local Security outfit to secure the lives of people and properties because the Police and other security forces had failed to do the needful. In the southeast Biafra land, the Governors failed to copy the noble idea from their counterparts. They stayed mute and watched this terrorist Fulani herders annihilate and intimidate the helpless people. They watched as people were chased out of their homes and occupied by same bandits. The South-east politicians were more interested in their political gains from the federal government. They didn't care if everyone was moved to Internally displaced People's Camp or not.
At this point there was a vacuum and the people cried out for help from everywhere. The leader of Indigenous people of Biafra Mazi Nnamdi Kanu had written to the state government advising them to form a similar group like the Amotekun formed by the South-west Governors. After a long wait without response from the Governors, the ESN was formed. Their role was clearly mapped out. To provide security in the forest areas where the terrorists had occupied and farm lands from further destruction
Unfortunately, the lazy South-east Politicians kicked against ESN and mobilized Nigeria troops to go after the trained volunteer group. They used both Air and land bombardment to kill and maim them in their thousands. The terrorists were protected and given arms to chase the volunteer ESN away.
This same South-east Governors who refused to form a security outfit at the time the terrorists were rampaging Biafra land, quickly formed one and tagged it Ebubeagu. One may want to suggest that it was formed in good fate to secure the lives of the people and properties. But no, they formed Ebubeagu as a Political thug to fight ESN and also used to fight opponents during Elections like it is playing out now.
In Ebonyi State for instance, there are lots of mysterious killings taking place in great numbers since the Election breeze started. There are several factions from the ruling party since 2020/2021 leading to high rate of attacks on each other. The recent one was on Sunday 30th October, 2022 in the home of one Mr Darlington Okereke a top politician from the ruling party and another counter attack from another faction, which claimed the life of one person.
The Nigeria police working with the state government, would rather collaborate and change the narrative and tag such killing to ESN or IPOB just to draw sympathy and stay innocent.
The South-east government must stop this evil blackmail because this is the era of social media. Any attempt to blackmail the ESN or IPOB will not sell because the people know the truth.
The international community is notified of every attempt made to blackmail the Indigenous People of Biafra and ESN and they will never buy into this cheap blackmail.
The remedy to the unending insecurity and struggle for self-determination is disintegration. Until Nigeria is dismantled, there shall never be peace.
The South-east politicians must stop this cheap blackmail and take responsibility for the high rate of killings taking place on daily basis. They must stop associating IPOB or ESN to their dirty Politics.
IPOB is seeking for independent state of Biafra. Self-determination is legal Right of an indigenous people as enshrined in UN charter for which Nigeria is a signatory. Southeast Politicians must stop criminalizing innocent people of Biafra.
