March 03 2024 | State Media

It's no longer news that the unprovoked attack against our people by the murderous Nigerian Joint Security Operatives on 23rd of August 2020 turned bloody claiming the lives of many innocent worshippers. Among the victims so gruesomely murdered by the Terrorists in Nigerian Security uniforms was Mazi Arinzechukwu Festus Udeani who was lowered to the mother Earth today 2nd of March 2024 in his father's compound at Owelli Court, Awgu LGA Enugu State.

The Nigerian Security Agents, after killing Mazi Arinzechukwu Udeani, seized the body and vowed not to release the corps to the grieving family. The matter has been in Court since the time of this sad event till now. The family have been in series of Court cases over securing the body of their murdered son throwing the family into state of agony for 4 years.

Meanwhile, our Media member, and the brother to the late Arinzechukwu, Mazi Chetachukwu Udeani who had been in various ways, accused of luring his brother to early grave, passed through hell in the family as that inordinate indictment completely put the family in disarray. Mazi Chetachukwu, haven endured so many heartaches from the people and the Nigerian Security Agents for refusing to release his brother's body to the family till victory assured today unavoidably found himself in the state of misery immediately he had a glance at the coming casket conveying the body of his beloved brother.

At the arrival of the body of late Arinzechukwu Udeani, there was diverse reactions from both the people and the weather. The entire atmosphere changed and appeared as though we had climate change. Everyone, both young and old became moody.  People were uncontrollably wailing, some were, in tears, giving thanks to Eze Chukwu Okike Abiama who made it possible that the body of late Arinzechukwu Udeani did not forever remain in the enemies’ camp. The aggrieved youths who brought the corps back home from the Annunciation Hospital Emene Enugu, in turn, started exhibiting some sort of violence in demonstration of anger.

Meanwhile, after some while, some people started dancing to the lyrics of the Ogene traditional singers who were present to cheer the audience. In view of the harsh condition given to the deceased family in Court to ensure that they clear all bills and claim the Arinzechukwu body within 6 working days or risk appeal by the Nigerian Security Agents to starting the case afresh, many who presumably never believed that the claiming of the body from the enemies under such horrible conditions would be possible, merely resorted to talking to God praising Him for His awesomeness and supremacy over all situations.

Late Mazi Arinzechukwu Festus Udeani, aged 22 years, died in active service. He died a Hero, and therefore his burial deserved to be treated as such. The Enugu Media team who were present in the sad event, while addressing Mrs. Ukamaka Eucharia Udeani, the mother of the Late Arinzechukwu Udeani, she narrated her ordeal in a brief, and when the Media team told her that IPOB family will still come to see her specially in no distant time, she confessed that that word alone is a consolation to her inner being and started giving Chukwu Okike all the glory.

In his votes of thanks, Mazi Chetachukwu Udeani appreciates everyone that despite the harsh situation of things, took it upon themselves to be present and witness the long-awaited burial of their beloved brother that in the course of struggling for the freedom of his father's Land was unjustly murdered by the blood sucking Agents in Nigerian army uniforms. He specially thanked the Enugu Media crews who came to console and sympathize with him.
