By Kinsomebody C. Egbuchu (Abia writers)

This write-up is not a rhetorical extravagance or genial sentiment for a festive occasion on the Biafra I know. It is a complex, bitter, and cold truth that the Biafra I know seeks no narrow or selfish ambition. She trespasses not upon the lawful interests and characteristics of any nation. She nourishes in the warmest feelings of fellowship towards the struggle for freedom. Interestingly, I foresee an expanding future for her people.

Hence, the new Biafra led by IPOB looks forward to a revival of unity and the true greatness of her people as she offers loyal and faithful comradeship to all nations of the world. The Biafra I know has never indulged in a shallow or fugitive optimism; hence, I thought it wise to make these statements because I am sure they will not lead to the slightest complacency or to any relaxation on the struggle, which is now being brought into action. I purposely give these empirical facts in a form that conveys the truth without providing precise or detailed information to circles wider than those with which Biafrans are amply concerned.

Consequently, I know that many questions on most Biafrans' lips are:

What are Britain and Nigeria doing about letting Biafrans be on their own?

What is the United Nations doing about Biafra's self-determination/freedom?

What new devilry is Nigeria and her allies planning?

What fresh assault will Nigerians further make upon our people and homeland?

What type of new divide and rule will Britain, Nigeria and their allies bring against Biafrans and her brothers within the enclave?

All these will be succinctly addressed in my subsequent write-ups.
