Nigeria has failed as a country. There are no two words about it. She could not couple her own, care for her children, face her fears and challenges, and sort out her mistakes. She is like a mother who sought only for her selfish interest alone and fed her children with bitter breast milk, which later led to her childlessness.

Nigeria is a disgrace to Africa and humanity at large. Some people sought the progress of this country and deemed it worthwhile to Sacrifice their time, money, joy and even their lives. They fought to see that those they were better than, the poor, the destitute, the helpless, the disabled and the homeless individuals, have a reason to live and be comfortable. They are people like Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, who advocated for confederation, where every part of Nigeria would function independently and report to the federal government. By so doing, every region will have its obligation to develop its part and make it work.

But the lazy ones with the "Born to rule" attitude who believe Nigeria is the estate of their forefather, Usman Dan Fodio (the Fulani oligarchy), rejected that proposal. They even doubled back on the agreement brokered by Lt. Gen. J. A. Ankrah in Aburi, Ghana. The consequences of that selfish mistake still haunt Nigeria, and the country is on the brink of facing the same issue again. In 2025, it is too late for that solution to keep Nigeria as one because poverty, insecurity, and backwardness in the country have made it impossible for that solution to work. So, it is too late for Nigeria to function as a country.
