Any objective and meticulous Observer of recent developments in Anambra state, with particular reference to the operations of Governor Soludo's Agunechemba, will notice certain unusual trends associated with the militia created by Governor Soludo.
From the inception of the militia group, with all of its auxiliary arms, it was observed that something sinister surrounded the group, starting from the composition of its leadership to the general constitution of the vigilante/militia group's membership. Most people are aware of the outrage, or was it opprobrium, that was ignited when the leadership of this "security outfit" was found to be people of questionable reputation and unestablished integrity.
It may not be surprising to recall that Nigerian warrant chiefs, particularly those from the southern regions who regard themselves as political leaders, often prioritize pleasing their British superiors over the well-being of their people. They are willing to sacrifice lives to maintain their positions of power, which can be likened to that of head slaves. It is important to note that the actions of these "security outfits" are frequently aimed at political opponents and intended to silence dissent systematically.
David Umahi adopted this template in Ebonyi State, and Francis Nwifuru is continuing it. Nyesom Wike, during his tenure as Governor of Rivers State, extensively applied this method as well. There is no need to recount the situation in Imo State, where Governor Hope Uzodimma openly admitted to importing mercenaries from neighbouring coastal states to cause chaos, intending to incriminate his political opponents, including the aggrieved youth.
Everyone is encouraged to take a moment to assess the conditions in these states, where the governors, akin to warrant chiefs, have tried to solidify their control over their opponents by following a strategy that seems to echo colonial influences.
Now, on the side of Governor Soludo's Agunechemba, does anybody need any Rocket Science to know that Governor Soludo is threading the same path as his neighbouring counterparts? With the despicable stories about the suspects caught in connection with the kidnappers and murderers of Hon. Justice Azuka and the police, what does one think is happening? Given the regular reports of "accidental" murders of innocent citizens by these security outfits, what do you conclude?
While the activities of various criminal gangs, particularly kidnappers, are being exposed and controlled, it is essential to note that not everyone accused of being a criminal, especially kidnappers, is actually guilty. So, in as much as we Biafrans would gladly welcome any measure that would purge, cleanse, and sanitize Biafra land, we cannot support a vindictive template where political opponents will be the unnecessary victims and objects of undue victimization.
For the avoidance of doubt, the warrant chiefs describing themselves as Governors know the root of the criminal gangsterism as manifested in various versions, and that root is in their treacherous conspiracy against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and #IPOB. The inalienable, constitutional, legitimate, and legal demand of #SELF_DETERMINATION by Biafrans and the fatal error of wanting to extinguish that demand by Britain through the Nigerian government is the ROOT causes of the danger, which they are chasing shadows for. Any day they want to address the so-called insecurity in #Biafra_Land, they must start by apologizing to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and begin to address his well-defined demands.
It must be stated in conclusion, therefore, that, as much as Biafrans welcome the gesture of eradicating criminality, especially kidnapping in Biafra land, Biafrans are equally averse to the government using the cover of fighting insecurity to perpetrate and perpetuate worse crimes.
Curiously, and ironically, the Fulani terrorists are there, running rings around Biafra land, and not even one word has been mentioned about them from any government quarters in Biafra land. Doesn't that suggest to you where their sponsorship is coming from?
