One undeniable observation made by both keen and casual observers of the melodrama unfolding at the Abuja High Court during the recent trial of IPOB Leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is that what is being referred to as a judicial trial resembles more of a comedy scripted by amateur writers.
The considerable attention surrounding Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's trial is mainly due to the extraordinary circumstances of his incarceration, particularly given the multiple assassination attempts on his life by the British government through its proxy, the Nigerian government. This background might lead one to expect a wealth of solid evidence in a trial that would bolster the allegations and accusations against him.
Don't forget that the British government, through the Nigerian government, has been going back and forth in their indecisiveness about what to accuse Mazi Nnamdi Kanu for (because he committed no offence), as they start from incitement to reasonable felony to terrorism to secession, to insulting Nigeria, insulting the president, and back to making inflammatory statements. It is glaring that even the prosecution is not decisive about what allegations to present.
But the worst calamity that has befallen the Nigerian and British Governments in this comedy show called the trial of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, is the epitome of inconsistency called prosecution witnesses. If any person ever took the so-called trial seriously at any time, that seriousness automatically vanished the moment the prosecution began to present the MASQUERADES that they called prosecution witnesses.
These so-called prosecution star witnesses could not be far from being concluded as deliberately positioned as covert spoilers of the prosecution's case. If not, why will a witness consistently and continuously make statements contradicting his principal's position and equally nail and negate his principal's claim? Probably, as soon as the attention of the British and Nigerian governments was drawn to this blunder, they activated their usual monetary influence for their compromised media to disseminate media propaganda against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
It is not hard to notice that all the LAMESTREAM media of #collectiveWest, as well as their outposts called Lagos Ibadan expressway brown envelope gutter media, have resorted to publishing fake, dubious, malicious, and fallacious fabrications about Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, probably to influence or sway public opinion against him.
Why will the press be prejudicial in a case that is in court in the first place?
Why will the press elect to distort or twist what has been said in the open court to the hearing of the whole world?
Why will the press arrive at a preemptive conclusion on anything in a case still before the High Court?
Why will the DSS resort to delivering judgment about what Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will pay for in a case still ongoing before the High Court?
This situation illustrates the futility of the entire trial and the panic that the prosecution has been thrown into. Desperation cannot alter reality, nor can it transform falsehoods into truths. The fact that Appeal Court, the UN Working Committee, the Terrorism Prevention and Prohibition Act, and the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights have all stated that, given the circumstances surrounding the abduction (kidnapping) of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his extraordinary rendition back to Nigeria, he cannot be tried in any court since doing so would constitute an act of terrorism highlights the most honourable course of action for both the British and Nigerian governments. They should discontinue this farcical trial and release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, as various international charters, courts, and laws advised. Resorting to cheap blackmail disguised as media propaganda is not only childish but also absurd, laughable, and frivolous.
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu committed no offence or crime.
Keeping him under incarceration or shambolic trial amounts to exposing the lawlessness that Nigeria represents, and this will continue to reinforce the pariah state of the British fraud called Nigeria.
The earlier British and Nigerian governments let Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and Biafrans go, the earlier the disastrous and cataclysmic implosion that awaits both nations were mitigated and probably averted.
