The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohamed Idris, was caught lying to the World on CNN when he tried to protect the Islamic terrorist. According to him, these terrorists are not selective of Christians in the massacre; Muslims are also massacred.
It is essential that, before we go into the records of the massacre of Christians in Nigeria by the Islamic jihadists, it is pertinent to clearly put the records straight of how it started, who started the killings and why. It was in 1984 when the late Head of State and later president Muhammadu Buhari led a military coup and removed a democratically elected president, Alhaji Shehu Shagari. Immediately he took over power, he took a step to register Nigeria as a member of the Organization of Islamic Countries.
In the OIC meeting held in Abuja, Buhari allocated $21 billion for a project aimed at ensuring its completion within 30 years. One may wonder what this project entails. According to the 400-page communique issued at the Abuja Declaration in 1989, three hundred pages focus on the necessity for Nigeria to be Islamized before this process spreads to other African countries. Additionally, this communique stated that all non-Muslims in Nigeria must be eradicated.
Boko Haram emerged as a militant group, followed by various other jihadist militias. These groups are heavily armed and began their violent campaign by bombing a Catholic church in Madala, Abuja, in 2012, resulting in the deaths of over 300 worshippers, including women and children. Since that tragic event, there have been no recorded incidents of mosques being bombed or any Muslims being killed by these terrorists.
Also, in 2012, there was the abduction of 400 secondary school girls in the Chibok community. Out of this number, only Leah Shuaibu is still in captivity to date because she refused to convert to Islam. So when some the minister of information and national orientation went to CNN at the influence of British authorities to change the narrative that Muslims are also killed. It leaves us with a question of which group is killing, kidnapping and raping women and children? We came to realize that they are Fulani Herders, Boko Haram, ISWAP, Al-Qaeda, and all the rest of them are all Islamic Jihadist armed groups with different names. Then how can a group fighting for the interests of Muslims turn to kill Muslims?
A reflection of the massacre in Kaduna state, with a record of over three thousand people slaughtered within one year. There was no single casualty who was a Muslim. These attacks are often targeted and carried out in Christian communities and their worship centers.
This pattern of operation goes around other Christian States like Plateau, Niger, Nasarawa, Kogi, Enugu, Ebonyi and especially Benue State, which has become a slaughter ground with an estimated number of over 20,000 people killed and over five million displaced in the past 10years. Benue State is predominantly Christian, with a population of approximately 90% Christians.
In Ebony State, over three thousand have been killed, and no single record of a Muslim casualty exists because these massacres are usually carried out in Churches. In Uzouwani, Enugu state, where over 400 men, women, and children were slaughtered in a single attack by this jihadist militia, there is no record of one Muslim faithful.
In Owo, Ondo state, where a Catholic church was conducting a service, these Fulani terrorists attacked it. Over 30 worshipers were killed, and many were injured. Were there Muslims in the church?
Recently, in Edo State, a group of terrorist herders attacked a community, resulting in several deaths. In response, the local youths organized themselves and hunted down the terrorists, killing them. This sparked significant outrage, and even governors from northern states issued warnings of potential retaliation for daring to take the lives of the terrorists. It seems that while these individuals are permitted to take the lives of innocent Christians, Christians themselves are not allowed to defend their own lives.
A Christian who killed a Fulani herder who attacked him was sentenced to death for self-defense.
On the 29th of October this year, 2025, in Kaduna State, a pastor was killed and 20 members were abducted till today, and this happened during a church service. So how could anyone say that a terrorist group set up by a Muslim sect to create a caliphate all over Nigeria and declare it an Islamic state, also kill those they are fighting for?
The Nigerian government is Muslim and can do anything to defend its agenda. Extremist Islamists populate the present Nigerian Federal Government. For the first time in history, both the president and vice president are Muslims. All her cabinet members are Muslims. All security chiefs are Muslims.
We plead with the US government to quickly ensure that the southeast region of Nigeria, being a 100% Christian State, should be allowed to have its sovereign State where it can be secured.
Biafran sovereignty has been the cry of the people of the southeast region of Nigeria for over 6 decades.
