Selective Outrage and Silent Complicity: The Hypocrisy of Nigerians in The Fight Against Insecurity

It is clear that since Donald Trump's threat to invade Nigeria, some pretentious Nigerians who are beneficiaries of the bad governance, are acting like this is the first time someone has raised an alarm about the atrocities committed by Fulani Jihadist terrorists, Boko Haram, ISIS and others.

Why is Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), still in prison today? Was it not because he raised an alarm, warning Nigerians about this evil plot via Radio Biafra?

Rather than heed his warning, these hypocrites and the government ganged up against him. They conspired to kill him, and to date, he is locked up in the Department of State Security (DSS).

Today, suddenly, the majority of Nigerians are affirming what Donald Trump said. Still, they were silent when, in 2014, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu said precisely the same thing. If that is not hypocrisy, then tell me, what is it?

What has been happening in Ukehe, Ibagwa, and some parts of Nsukka, where the Fulani have basically stopped agricultural activities? How about Benue State, Jigawa, Ondo, Ebonyi, and the rest, which will be outlined in our next article?

Terrorists, Fulani, have since taken over the governance of Nigeria.

They are in strategic positions, making policies and expanding their territory every day. This is why they invade communities for several hours, killing and burning down houses, yet no military presence for rescue. No arrest nor prosecution.

It is true that before the kidnapping of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, he lamented about these evil Fulani terrorists in Benue state and their plan to wipe out the indigenous people and occupy their land. He warned the state government and cried out to the international community for intervention.

Today, President Trump has reviewed those claims, confirmed their accuracy, and sent a clear warning that he is coming. Suddenly, those Nigerians who didn't believe Nnamdi Kanu and saw him as a criminal have suddenly sided with the Truth because it came from the US President. People are bold to speak up with facts and figures, but their fellow countryman is still incarcerated in the DSS dungeon for revealing the same terrorist plot 10 years ago. This says a lot about us as blacks; it took the intervention of a white man for Nigerians to condemn this evil.

Let's not forget that Nnamdi Kanu formed the Eastern Security Network (ESN) for the sake of pushing the Terrorists away from the southeast region. The government declared him wanted, arrested him and charged him with Terrorism. You can imagine, they left the terrorists who were on a rampage, killing innocent people and charged Nnamdi Kanu for Terrorism because he gathered volunteers to secure the southeast against the Fulani terrorists. Isn't that an irony of Life?

The average Southeast person supports the coming of Trump because they have always been against these terrorist groups ravaging the country over the years. Southeast supports any assistance from the international community aimed at ending insecurity in this country.

It is imperative that every Southeast person must continue to support the ESN until America arrives and clears our Forests of banditry. The southeast region of Nigeria must also continue to support the restoration of the sovereign State of Biafra. This is the only way to have a fast-developing nation that will be free from Islamic violence and Sharia courts.
