The Re-designation of Nigeria As A Country of Particular Concern: Is The Joke on Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah?

Any person conversant with the Nigerian media, especially in the 1980s, '90s, and early 2000s, must be very familiar with the name Rev. Fr. Mathew Kukah. Kukah was a columnist with The Guardian newspaper while serving in the Catholic Secretariat. He was also a Public commentator as well as an objective and realistic socio-political analyst.

These put him in good standing to be trusted by a large number of people, for which his opinion on any matter carried a lot of weight. For this, many people became ardent or even fanatical followers of Father Mathew Kukah.

Over time, Father Kukah was appointed the Catholic Bishop of the newly created Sokoto Diocese. Since his appointment or elevation to the office of Sokoto Catholic Bishop, Mathew Kukah somewhat appeared to be talking from both sides of his mouth. The reason may not be far-fetched, as political correctness dictates what public officers say or do.

Again, being a Christian top officer in the seat of the cradle of modern African jihadistic conquistadorial operations, caution must be exercised both in utterances and actions so as not to appear confrontational and combative, thereby bringing about more destruction than construction. Inasmuch as caution must be exercised, it should not be to the extent of having the person's characteristics and attributes which distinguish such noble men to be so completely eroded, as it became in the case of Bishop Kukah.

Unfortunately, and very painfully, it appears that a secret oath is administered to would-be public officers in Nigeria, instructing them never to speak the truth, never to speak objectively, and never to speak rationally. These negative dispositions appear to have been deeply rooted in Bishop Kukah, as situations have arisen in which he should have taken a firm stand, but in almost all cases, he took sides with the oppressors.

The last of such opportunities was the alarm of Christian Genocide raised by American legislator, Senator Ted Cruz, along with numerous other American lawmakers, who drew attention to the jihadistic terrorism of the Nigerian Government through the Fulani terrorists.

In this instance, instead of Bishop Mathew Kukah standing on the side of truth to solidify the postulations of the American Government, as symbolized by the legislators, Kukah once again fell victim to his own manipulative shenanigans, by denying the mass murder of Christians in genocidal proportions, aligning with the Government's mouthpieces like Akpabio, Onanuga, Bashir Ahmad, etc.

Does Kukah ever think that America lacks information about what happens in any part of the world daily? Why does Kukah believe that the US must rely on the falsehoods they spin out every day to obtain accurate information?

Does Kukah think that America cannot monitor every individual on a daily basis? Does Kukah think that satellites and drones are mere decorations? Has Kukah forgotten how President Obama was in his room at the Whitehouse monitoring the capture and elimination of Osama Bin Laden? What does Kukah think are the functions of the embassies?

With Kukah having propagated absurdity, supported oppression and falsehood, aligned with the continuation of the genocidal and jihadistic terrorism of Christians, and disrobed himself of every cloak of Christian Ministry, he has literally made himself naked in the Market.

The case of Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah is compounded by the fact that America has confirmed the ongoing #CHRISTIAN_GENOCIDE in Nigeria, by REDESIGNATING NIGERIA as a Country of Particular Concern.

Having re-designated Nigeria as a CPC, in total negation of all that Mathew Kukah had said, is it not a certification/confirmation that all the so-called Men of God are indeed Men of Mammon, who would prefer to feed on the blood of their flock, rather than be shepherds indeed?

With this disgraceful opportunism on the side of Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah, and the eventual confirmation of Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern by President Trump, the joke is indeed on Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah.

May the world be reminded again that the DEMAND of BIAFRANS remains simple and straightforward.

That DEMAND is a #UN_supervised #REFERENDUM, for PEACEFUL #BiafrExit.

REFERENDUM is a democratic process that involves voting.
