The closure of Onitsha main market for a full week by Governor Chukwuma Soludo due to traders' defiance of the state government's directive to ignore the Monday sit-at-home order is unconstitutional.
The closure resulted in significant economic losses of approximately ₦8 billion per day.

Traders and residents in Anambra state had expressed hope that engagement between the government and market leadership would lead to an early resolution and the resumption of normal business activities, but this did not materialize, as the market remained shut down throughout the week.

This has been the problem facing the Igbo race as a tribe. Each time the people try to elect a Governor, they will always turn around to destroy the people they swore to protect. The moment they are sworn into Office, they run down to Sokoto Caliphate and decisions are made on how to destroy their people back home with a promise of helping them to become the next President of Nigeria. A promise that has never seen the light of day for over fifty years and counting.

The reason why the southeast region is undeveloped is simply that the politicians we elect into Office quickly turn to dictators who take instructions from the Caliphate. The Fulani caliphate doesn't want to see the southeast region grow and become powerful enough to demand its rights. They make our Governors puppets and enslaved people who cannot execute a single project for their people without the approval of their slave masters.

This is what Mazi Nnamdi KANU saw years back and took it upon himself to liberate the Southeast region known as Biafra. The market that Soludo shut down for seven full days is not owned by the government but by the individual traders who work tirelessly to earn a living. These traders came together and agreed to observe civil disobedience by taking out every Monday as a Sit at Home Day in protest against the prolonged incarceration of Nnamdi Kanu for over 4 years and counting.

Some Lawmakers had appealed to the Governor to reconsider his actions. Hon. Afam Victor Ogene urged Governor Soludo to reconsider his decision, citing widespread public outcry and potential adverse consequences for stakeholders and the state economy, but it fell on deaf ears. Traders had gone into the streets in Protest, demanding the immediate reopening of their markets and pulling Nigerian soldiers away from civil matters.

Sadly, Anambra State Government announced plans to introduce pro-rata salary payments for civil servants, tying salaries to Monday attendance, and has warned that the closure could be extended to one month if traders persist in defying the directive. This goes to expose the real character of the man who supervises the affairs of a State in Anambra.

In all, the best answer to this constant cruelty by Southeast politicians is the push for a sovereign State of Biafra, without Biafra's freedom, the indirect rule or divide and rule (Neo-colonization) will continue in our land in perpetuity.
