The past Army Chief by name "Buratai" in an interview with one of the National news platforms, declared that the Nigerian government is fully aware of the financiers of terrorism in the country. This has raised a lot of concern and left a lot of questions unanswered as to why the government decides to continuously recruit youths into the military and watch them being slaughtered daily while they go behind giving them a false and deceptive hope.
The persistent and troubling rise of terrorism in Nigeria can largely be attributed to a singular, overarching factor: the systemic challenges, inefficiencies and corruption within the country's military and security apparatus. Despite ongoing collaborations and joint efforts with military forces from other nations, the Nigerian military has struggled to mount effective counterattacks against terrorist groups.
This failure can be linked to a myriad of issues, including inadequate training, insufficient intelligence gathering, and the deep-rooted corruption within the government and military ranks. These factors have collectively hampered any meaningful progress in combating the threats posed by terrorism, allowing these groups to thrive despite external support and intervention.
In the first week of April, there was a series of terrorist attacks in different states of the country, and tens of innocent citizens were massacred. Yet, the government has taken no decisive action.
The annihilation threat faced by different tribes in Nigeria, enabled by the disgraceful so-called leaders of Nigeria, will soon be a successful mission if disintegration is not quickly activated.
