Self-determination is an inherent and inalienable right enshrined in the UN Charter, specified in the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights, and upheld by international law that upholds justice and equity.
It is well known that when pursuing freedom, those with vested interests—who benefit from the injustices of others' captivity and bondage—will do everything in their power to prevent any movement toward self-determination from succeeding. To carry out their agenda of stifling the quest for freedom, they use both external and internal strategies. This reality highlights the need for caution in the current discussion.
External Suppression
Since Nigeria, under the invisible hands of Britain, failed to exterminate and annihilate Biafra in the genocidal war that was deceitfully called the Nigerian Civil War, successive Nigerian governments have operated under pathological fear of Biafra, for which they have formulated and implemented various self-destructive policies.
In this era of the pursuit of Biafra's #SELF_DETERMINATION through legal, legitimate, constitutional, and democratic processes, the Nigerian government has deployed every form of brutality against Biafrans, including, but not limited to, unleashing the Nigerian Army to open fire on unarmed Biafrans at various times and points, especially the so-called Operation Python Dance.
Another strategy by which the Nigerian government has been trying to suppress the Biafran self-determination quest is through Legal and Media warfare. Nigerian government went by night to obtain a substantive injunction which labelled IPOB as a terror group.
Based on this judicial crime, the Nigerian Government has been justifying all her crimes and false-flag operations to denigrate, desecrate, demonize and blackmail IPOB (Biafrans).
Nigerian Government has also been pursuing the suppression of the quest for Biafra through Economic Strangulation and Political Manipulation. This twin strategy involves denying the basic economic infrastructure to Biafrans to make Biafra appear economically non-viable, while compelling the gullible and greedy politicians to trade off their people for political crumbs, while portraying a situation of non-cohesion among the people.
Internal Sabotage:
The opponents of the self-determination quest, who happen to be the primary beneficiaries of the enslavement and bondage of the victims, will always devise means of planting, as well as sustaining hostilities within and amongst the victims, in furtherance of Divide and Rule, to keep the people from being coordinated.
They usually apply this strategy by packaging and presenting one central figure as the ultimate authority, the disobedience of whom will be viewed as treasonous. But the aim of presenting such a figure is to use him to destroy the quest, as he can be unduly influenced, especially negatively.
Internal sabotage can also be instigated through selfish and ignorant politicians who see only what will benefit "them and their families" as the ultimate reward, for which they can sell off anyone.
Positioning one central figure is a premise for infiltration, as well as fake and unreasonable orders, by which external enemies try to hoodwink the people, scattering them from within.
This is usually possible when the people themselves lack ideological education, making them easy victims of manipulative tendencies.
All the above must lead to one pertinent resolution, which is that we all must join hands to defend this self-determination quest by;
