Self-determination is a natural phenomenon in human existence, as well as an inescapable process that is fundamental to human ideology to bring about the desired Change against oppression.
Since the dawn of humanity, there has been an obsession to conquer, oppress, exploit, and dominate others. This has led to ongoing resistance against such intentions.
Looking at this historical perspective, everyone can justify Biafra's Self-determination struggle as their natural right, as it provides them the platform to fulfil their destiny as a people.
Recall that Biafra's Self-determination journey, which they embarked upon to free themselves from the British Business Centre called Nigeria, began as far back as 1967. The issue of self-determination has always been contentious, as the beneficiary parties will always go to any lengths to ensure that the status quo remains.
This is why they mobilize many mechanisms to see that internal and external distractions bedevil the self-determination group so that their efforts will continue to be futile. It is for this reason that there is a need for conscious effort to defend the quest against internal and external enemies.
To guard against the suppressive activities of the external enemies and the divisive, as well as treacherous manipulations of internal enemies of Biafra's Self-determination project, certain strategic measures need to be taken. One of those strategic measures is the establishment of strong institutions with corresponding effective information management. Principal officers should also be constantly scrutinized to avoid the disaster of absolute power corrupting absolutely.
In the same vein, checks and balances, accountability, stable leadership, cohesive cooperation, consistency and dedication to the self-determination project must be the focus of the leadership.
Welfare and youth mobilization, strategic security measures must also be given top attention, as these will tighten every knot, thereby thwarting any thought of internal sabotage.
The media must be solidified, fortified, and constantly reinforced so that they must be the dictators of the narrative, or at least, counter any malevolent narrative that might be contrary to the goal of the self-determination project.
This way, the external enemies can be silenced in their suppressive and diversionary agenda.
When the importance of protecting the core values of our self-determination is properly positioned, it will be concluded with ease that since the entrenched interests (beneficiaries of enslavement) can pay any price to maintain the status quo, serious care must be taken to protect the struggle, as the enemies can go as far as carrying out false flag operations, both to tarnish the image of Biafrans internationally and to engender internal enmity for the purpose of instigating internal strife that will ultimately metamorphose into treachery and sabotage.
The above-stated measures will minimize, if not totally extinguish such tendencies and agenda.
