It is rather appalling, quite utterly reprehensible, if not despicable, that the press, which should be the custodian of the conscience of the nation, as well as a watchdog over the government, for the protection of the interest of the people, has degenerated and deteriorated to the point of aligning and collaborating with the government, to exploit, suppress, and subdue the people, while stifling their voice.
In the editorial of Premium Times, as captured above, the media outfit, in addition calling IPOB many unprintable names, attributing various violent activities to IPOB, levelling various forms of unfounded accusations against IPOB, just to malign, desecrate, denigrate, and blackmail #IPOB, asserted unambiguously that the five soldiers that were killed at Aba was the handiwork of IPOB.
In as much as we are not here to join issues with Premium Times, or any other Nigerian media outfit for that matter, we need to straighten a number of salient points, based on the spurious, unfounded, and superfluous allegations made by Premium Times against IPOB.
First, the Indigenous People of Biafra is a NON-VIOLENT #SELF_DETERMINATION group, that strictly believes in the actualization of its goal, which is the restoration of Biafra, through a non-violent process, especially a #UN_supervised #REFERENDUM, as enshrined in ARTICLE 3 of the UN CHARTER, with regards to Indigenous Peoples all over the world.
It is on the basis of the above that IPOB has never involved, and can never involve itself in any form of violence, in the process of pursuing Biafra's Restoration.
Again, Biafra's Remembrance Day, which has been slated for 30th May every year is a day Biafrans have VOLUNTEERED to stay indoors (Sit-at-home), in honour and solemn reverence to their heroes and heroines, who were murdered by both British and Nigerian governments, their allies and collaborators, in the brutal and mindless massacre of Biafrans that cost Biafrans over six million lives (That genocidal war was deliberately instigated and triggered by British government as a basis to "destroy the fast growing economy of the East, as well as to teach Igbos a bitter lesson on how to pocket their pride").
So, the sit-at-home is never by compulsion, neither is it enforced. If there is any person patrolling the streets on the day of sit-at-home, it is Nigerian security agents, or their proxy, who are using the opportunity of the solemnity of Biafrans to disrupt the peaceful environment.
Thirdly, IPOB being a NON-VIOLENT SELF-DETERMINATION group does not meddle with violence. Therefore, we state unequivocally and emphatically that IPOB had/has nothing to do with death of the five soldiers, four of whom, in any case are Biafrans.
On the contrary the soldiers were murdered by Nigerian security agents in a covert operation known as FALSE FLAG OPERATION, with a view to achieving a number of goals, which include, but not limited to incriminating and implicating IPOB, to associate it with violence, which may serve as a basis for classifying it as a terror group, as had been desperately sought by @CatrionaLaing1 of @UKinNigeria, disrupting Governor Otti's outstanding developmental strides, and invading Biafra land for forced disappearance of youths for ORGAN HARVESTING, in the name of fishing out culprits.
Equally, nobody should flourish in the delusion that the caliphate errand boys who parade Biafra land as leaders, are Biafran (Igbo) leaders indeed. We know how they are mere crumb pickers. We also know what they imposed upon Biafrans, who imposed them, the encapsulated reason for their imposition, and these constitute the basis upon which they lack the moral authority to represent or speak for anyone. This is to say that whatever they say is not a reflection of the mind of the people, but the propagation or dissemination of the narrative of their masters.
Even Governor Otti that was mentioned in Premium Times provocative trash took the proactive step he took so as to de-escalate the intensity of genocidal attack that was bound to be classified as a reprisal attack by the security forces.
He was/is aware of how the terrorists in uniform and out of uniform, use the kidnappers’ den at Lokpanta called Cattle Market to operate with impunity. On the basis of the information available to him, he instructed that the kidnappers' den called Cattle Market be reconfigured to lessen the danger it constitutes.
This has been a deep cut in the mind of Nigerian government and their field terrorists, who are shielded by their terrorists in uniform called the Nigerian security forces, particularly the Army. They therefore calculated that killing those five soldiers would give them a good ground to cut their pound of flesh from Governor Otti. Of course, Governor Otti is awake.
