This obnoxious group from the Northern part of Nigeria called Coalition of Northern Group (CNG) recently called for the head of His Excellency Peter Obi and other Southeast politicians because they demanded an unconditional release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) who has suffered severely in illegal incarceration by the Nigerian Government.
The CNG group tagged His Excellency Peter Obi and other Southeast politicians as terrorists for daring to make such demands.
These faceless men, I classify as wolves in sheep's clothing. These are men who drink and dine with Sheik Gumi, the chief negotiator between all the terror groups. These groups have caused havoc in the country and have taken up arms against the Nigerian state. They kill, rape, kidnap, burn down communities and even decimate military barracks, just to mention but a few of their activities which are in the public domain for the world to read.
The CNG criminal group does not see anything wrong with the activities of these terrorists that have killed over 2000 security operatives in Nigeria and killed thousands of men, women and children. They have evicted people from their communities and occupied the same. Farmers have abandoned their farms for fear of attacks, thereby resulting in a food crisis ravaging the country today. Recent reports have exposed and indicted popular politicians from the Northern extraction as being at the helm of affairs of these dreadful terror groups in Nigeria. They have been named and even caught holding meetings with these terrorists.
Their criminal actions should be investigated as soon as possible. A sensible government should not be distracted by these false accusations by the CNG against honourable men of this state. The call for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu by prominent men and women of Nigeria, the diaspora and even the United Nations is justifiable because he has committed no crime known by law.
The call for self-determination is the inalienable right of the indigenous people as enshrined in the U.N charter for which Nigeria is a signatory. Therefore, the IPOB group is simply demanding her right to freedom from a failed Nigerian state, and this should not call for the continued killing and incarceration of the indigenous populace.
I advise the Southeast politicians, including His Excellency Peter Obi, to sue the CNG group of criminals for false accusations and defamation of character. This blackmail must not stop them from speaking up for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and anyone suffering persecution in Nigeria.
