One of the known characteristics of religious leaders around the world has been to stand tall against bad leadership, killings and other negative activities being perpetrated against citizens of their country, regardless of their religious sect, but in the country called Nigeria, it's not so.
It's only in Nigeria that religious leaders, Muslim leaders in particular, form alliances with political criminals to execute dubious missions just because the victims of such heinous crimes are not of the same religion as them.
The terrorist attack against the indigenous citizens of Nigeria is an orchestrated, well-planned attack by the Muslim sect. These long-term attacks are religious and are for the total annihilation of some Indigenous tribes to take over their lands and resources. Whenever the citizens rise to protest against terrorism and killings, the Emirs will openly call for their arrest, while the Department of State Security continue to play its own evil part by disarming local vigilantes and security who counter the attacks of the Fulani herdsmen and terrorists.
Such an instance is seen in the reports by the Sahara reporters, where the Emir of Tsaragi openly called for the arrest of a youth leader for protesting against the rise of killings by the Fulanis in Kwara state.
In Nigeria, the law is largely ineffective, as the executive controls the legislative and judicial arms of government; therefore, the principle of checks and balances is not applicable in Nigeria. The law enforcement agencies indulge in criminalities, injustice is the order of the day, and there's no hope for the common man anymore. The den of scavengers must be dissolved to save lives.
