Intersociety Situation Report, Enugu-Nigeria: Monday, Nov 17, 2025: The International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law is statistically declaring that there is no end in sight in the coordinated attacks against Nigeria’s defenseless Christians. The egregious attacks carried out mostly by Jihadist Fulani Militants in the past fourteen days of Oct 28 to Nov 11, 2025 have resulted to the abduction and killing of no fewer than eight Christian clerics and sacking of several ancestral homes and lands belonging to defenseless Christian population especially in Kaduna, Benue, Plateau, Taraba and Borno. There is also no end in sight in the coordinated attacks on sacred places of Christian worship in the past fourteen days under reference. As a matter of fact, and going by Intersociety’s recent statistical checks, the situation of Nigerian Christians and their sacred places of worship has remained dangerously unchecked especially since Nov 1, 2025 when the US Government hinted on possible military action against Nigeria’s digitally and physically assembled Islamic Jihadist groups (24 in number), should the Nigerian Government continue to fail to take concrete steps to end the egregious killing of Christians and destruction of their sacred places of worship.
From Intersociety’s statistical records, the number of Islamic terror groups digitally and physically headed to Nigeria where they presently occupy various rainforest Locations-Christian dominated areas are numbering about 24 including the JNIM Islamic terror group as one of them. The JNIM is a deadly Islamic terror group operating in Mali and the Sahel region which recently announced the establishment of “its first brigade in Nigeria”. There are also scores of new Islamic terror groups heading or headed into Nigeria to swell the number of such terror groups troubling the country especially the defenseless Christian population and their sacred places of worship, living and livelihood. Among them are the “Fulani affiliated WULOWULO Islamic terror group” and rumored infiltration of another Fulani-affiliated Islamic terror group (“the Bororos”); in addition to “Lakaruwa Islamic terror group”; reportedly brought into Nigeria by the Fulani cattle herders’ proprietor body since 2018.
Intersociety had in its Special Report of August 10, 2025, which had been updated since Oct 10, 2025, strongly warned that “Nigeria has digitally and physically become a safe haven for no fewer than 22 (now 24) Islamic terror groups from Black and Maghreb Africa, seeking to obliterate Christians and Christianity-affiliated others, their faiths and cultural identities/heritages by the Year 2075 or in the next 50 years from now; and if extreme care is not taken, children of children born with Christian names and into Christian homes in today’s Nigeria will no longer meet Christianity and bear Christian names and inherit their Trado-Judeo-Christian identities and cultural heritages”.
We therefore expected to see the present Nigerian Government and its Presidency rising to the occasion by overhauling ministries of defense and interior and office of the NSA and thereafter issue firm and matching orders to security, defense and intelligence forces and their Service Chiefs especially the Armed Forces and their High Commands to go after the Jihadist Fulani Herdsmen and allied others and have them flushed out or obliterated; having severally been responsible for over 80% of the religious killings, abductions, disappearances and property destructions across Nigeria especially attacks against churches and dwelling houses belonging to Nigeria’s vulnerable Christian population. By fresh statistics at our disposal, nothing seems to have been done to practically and concretely remedy the situation till date.
We had also expected the Tinubu Government of Nigeria to have ordered the country’s Fulani leaders which consistently maintains a sort of “the erstwhile Sudanese Government-Janjaweed cordial relationship” with the Nigerian Governments since midyear of 2015 per MACABAN and FUNAM, to stop all forms of attacks against Christian population and identify and expel all jihadist elements using “Fulani Herdsmen” and their cattle rearing as a cover to unleash untamed jihadist terror attacks on defenseless civilian population and their properties. The Tinubu’s Government of Nigeria was also expected to have announced total suspension of the ongoing “Fulani Ranching Settlements” across all indigenous Christian areas of the country which has heightened tensions and emboldened the Jihadists to continue and escalate their attacks unchecked and untracked.
Disappointingly, the Nigerian Government has been busy allegedly wasting the country’s alleged massively borrowed public funds on global campaign allegedly rooted in serial denials, name callings and defense of the indefensible in attempts to divert the attention of the international religious freedom voices. This is despite the fact that these respected international freedom of religion voices have independently followed and documented violent attacks against Christians and destruction of churches in the past fifteen years or since 2010. From our conservative estimates, such alleged billions of naira from alleged borrowed public funds are more than enough to return, restore and rehabilitate over 1m Christian and moderate Muslim IDPs to their former positions and livelihoods. The estimated huge public funds allegedly being misused and misapplied are also capable of rebuilding houses belonging to such IDPs and provide adequate social facilities and amenities including paved roads, rehabilitated schools and hospitals as well as provision of adequate relief materials; likewise, facilitation of traumatic and post-traumatic stress disorder counseling and therapies, etc.
Grand Findings: For the avoidance of doubt, our latest situation report has statistically indicated that the attacks by Jihadist Fulani Militants (“Fulani Herdsmen”) across the country including killings, abductions, disappearances and destructions targeted at church and other Christian properties have reached an alarming stage in the past two weeks of Oct 28 to Nov 11, 2025; to the extent that within the period, the Jihadist Fulani Militants accounted for no fewer than 102 Christian deaths in Taraba (34 Christian deaths), Plateau (22), Kaduna (16), Benue (15), Borno (4) and Edo State where a Seminarian (Emmanuel Alabi) was killed in Jihadists’ captivity).
There are also addition of 10 Christian deaths representing ‘dark figures’ of crime such as no fewer than ten Christians likely to have been killed in Jihadists’ captivity from no fewer than 114 abducted and held; totaling 102 Christian deaths in fourteen days (28-10-2025 to 11-11-2025). The killing of about 102 Christians also represented daily average death of seven Christians. No fewer than 114 defenseless Christians were also found to have been abducted in the referenced fourteen days, representing daily average of eight abducted Christians. Statistics at our disposal further indicated that no fewer than 50 Christians were abducted in Kaduna, 30 in Taraba, 6 in Plateau, 6 in Benue and 12 in Kogi/Kwara Christian axis, in addition to ten ‘dark figures’ of crime, totaling 114 abducted Christians. It is our additional record that no fewer than six churches were attacked and sacked in Benue (two), Borno (one), Kaduna (one) and Taraba (two), during which four Christian clerics were killed including Kaduna (one), Benue (one), Edo (one) and Kwara (an ECWA pastor) as well as abduction of four Christian clerics including Kogi (two) and Kaduna (two).
Complaints Over Complicity Of The Security Forces Mounting: Complaints of complicity leveled by victims and survivors of the Jihadist Fulani Militants’ ceaseless attacks on Christians, strongly leveled against security forces especially soldiers of the Nigerian Army and their officers have continued to mount day in day out in most of the affected areas across the country. From Eha-Amufu in Enugu State, Wukari in Taraba, Southern Kaduna in Kaduna State, several Christian communities in Benue and Plateau States; to several Christian areas of Nasarawa, Borno and Kogi States, the complicity complaints against the security forces have risen to an apogee; to the extent that security forces especially military personnel have vehemently refused to go after the Jihadist Fulani Militants before and after such attacks except joining victims of the attacks in picking corpses and turning around to crack down on victim-communities and their leaders, often accused of “being conspirators” and “attempting to carry out reprisal attackers”, resulting to clamping and hunting down and hounding them into brutality-infested detention; an turning blind eyes on the real perpetrator-Jihadists.
335 Catholic Parishes Razed In Taraba In 10 Yrs., 300, 000 Persons And 201 Villages Displaced: According to Truth-Nigeria’s Special Report of Nov 11, 2025, the authorities of the Catholic Diocese of Wukari in Taraba State, North-East Nigeria have disclosed shockingly that no fewer than “335 Catholic churches have been destroyed or burned in the past ten years of 2015 to 2025 and more than 300,000 Catholic faithful and other Christians displaced and 201 Christian villages sacked”. Among the sacked Christian villages under the Wukari Catholic Diocese were named to include Tor Gbenger, Imbor, Chakera, Asuku, Mbaaga, Ikyor, Mbaya Utser, Genda and numerous others. The above was disclosed by Catholic Bishop of Wukari, Mark Maigida Nzukwein and Father George Dogo of the Holy Family Parish (attacked) in Takum during their separate interviews with Mike Odeh of Truth-Nigeria. The two respected and courageous Catholic clerics also disclosed that “there is a hidden genocide and a systematic campaign of terror by Jihadist Fulani Militants to uproot Christian communities in Southern Taraba in particular and Taraba State in general.”

According to the same Morning Star report, Jihadist Boko Haram also on the same Nov 8, 2025 attacked a Christian community and burned down a church and other homes belonging to defenceless Christians in Pemi community where a Church of Brethren in Nigeria (EYN) was set on fire and burned down. The respected Christian news outfit also quoted some survivor Christians in the area as giving chilling accounts of their unchecked ordeal in the hands of Boko Haram in recent years especially this year during which almost every community in Chibok County has been attacked and several churches burned down.
According to ‘TRUTH NIGERIA’ report of Wednesday, Nov 12, 2025, “not less than 14 Christians were killed in late Oct 2025 or between 23rd and 31st October 2025 in Southern Kaduna”; and from then till Nov 11, 2025, at least 16 defenceless Christians have been killed or hacked to death by Jihadist Fulani Militants or “Fulani Ethnic Militias”, according to Intersociety findings. According to Christian Daily’s Morning Star News of Nov 5, 2025, Jihadist Fulani Militants have killed nine Christians in Plateau State and also killed a Pastor and abducted not less than 20 of his church members in Kaduna State. According to the respected Christian news outfit, the attack in Kaduna State had taken place on Oct 28, 2025, during which the Jihadist Fulani Militants brutally killed Rev. Yahaya Kambsaya, attacked his church and abducted 20 members of his United Church of Christ in Nigeria (UCCN), “HEAKEN Congregation”. The attack took place in predominantly Christian area of Farin Dutse village in Kauru County of Kaduna State. In neighbouring Plateau State, the Jihadist Fulani Militants launched another jihadist attack on Nov 3, 2025 in Wereng village of Riyom County, killing Joseph Dauda Mwanti (28) and wounded another Christian, Joshua Mwanvwang (33). In neighbouring village of Kwi, the armed Jihadist Fulani Militants on Friday and Saturday Oct 31-Nov 1, 2025, killed eight Christians including seven killed on Friday and one killed on Saturday.
According to Christian Daily’s Morning Star News of Nov 7, 2025, Jihadist Fulani Militants renewed their attacks against Christians by killing 15 in Plateau and Nasarawa States including on Thursday, Nov 6, 2025, killing two Christians in Nigeria’s Nasarawa State and two others in Plateau State. The killings in Nasarawa State took place in Christian dominated Sarkin Noma village in Keana County of the State at about 11pm. In Riyom County of Plateau State, two Christians were killed on Thursday, Nov 6, 2025 and on Saturday, Nov 1, 2025, six Christians were killed in Kwi village of Riyom County. On Sunday, Nov 2, 2025, a Christian farmer, Bitrus Dakwan was killed by Jihadist Fulani Herdsmen in Kubon village of Mangu County and in Pushit village of the same Mangu County on Oct 31, 2025, Jihadist Fulani Herdsmen also killed three Christians.
According to Christian Daily’s Morning Star News of Nov 6, 2025: “Pastor Among 10 Christians Killed By Herdsmen In Central Nigeria”, Jihadist Fulani Militants on Nov 3-4, 2025, targeted and killed not less than 10 Christians, including a Pentecostal Pastor in Benue State. Rev. Simon Nbach of Flaming Fire Ministry, was among not less than ten defenceless Christians killed on Nov 3, 2025 during Jihadist Herdsmen attacks on Anwule Oglewu village of Ohimini County of Benue State as Christian farmers were working in their fields; after which locals including Casmir Eigege identified the attackers as Jihadist Fulani Herdsmen. The Pastor’s corpse was found to be among two other Christian corpses (Adoye Ejigai and Ejeh Loko). The Foundation for Justice, Development and Peace of the Catholic Diocese of Markudi also on Nov 5, 2025, released its factsheet on the killing and confirmed that “ten Christians were killed, four injured and six abducted”.
According to New Telegraph Newspaper of Nov 5, 2025, “a Catholic Church in Anwule Community in Oglewu, Ohimini County of Benue State, was also attacked and burned down”; during which a respected community leader, Onjefu Oche, an Ohimini County leader, accused the military of complicity and added that “what is shocking to me about Tuesday’s attack is that it was not up to five minutes after the military left Anwule that Fulani terrorists started the attack, meaning they were getting information about the troops’ movement”. The above was according to Truth-Nigeria’s report of Nov 5, 2025.
According to the News Express Online of Nov 5, 2025, the Catholic Diocese of Auchi in Edo State, another hotspot of Jihadist Fulani killings and abductions in South-South Nigeria, has confirmed the death of Seminarian Emmanuel Alabi of the Immaculate Heart Conception Minor Seminary in Ivianokpodi in Edo State. The slain Seminarian Emmanuel Alabi was among the three abducted by the Jihadists since July 10, 2025 and taken into their forest camp where two were later freed and Emmanuel Alabi killed in captivity. The fiery Plateau State clergy, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, released a video on Facebook on Wednesday, Oct 29, 2025, detailing another shocking attack by Jihadist Fulani Militants that occurred in the third week of Oct or on Oct 17, 2025, during which the Jihadists invaded a hospital in Barkin Ladi County of the State and abducted scores (approximately more than ten) of young girls including patients and took them into a rocky area where the few Muslims among them were separated and left untouched and others who are Christians mercilessly gang-raped, defiled and degraded. Rev. Dachomo, also the Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations, COCIN, in Barkin Ladi, further explained that the Jihadists struck with AK-47s, swords and machetes and seized the girls and dragged them into nearby rocks where they were brutally raped and left abandoned or to crawl back to the hospital late after the midnight.
According to Sahara Reporters of Oct 30, 2025, Jihadist Fulani Militants, locally called “Bandits” abducted not less than nine persons-believed to be Christians in Kajuru County of Kaduna State-a Christian dominated area. The attack took place in Rafin Koro Village. The Jihadists earlier on Wednesday, Oct 29, 2025, abducted not less than seven persons in Bukkah village of Chikun County of the State, another Christian dominated area; during which an Anglican Priest, Edwin Achi and his wife, Sarah Achi were abducted in their residence in Nissi village located in Chikun County of the State.
According to Truth-Nigeria of Nov 11, 2025, more than 20 Christians were killed within 48 hours in coordinated attacks by Jihadist Fulani Militants in Wukari County of Taraba State, a Christian dominated area of the North-East Nigerian State. Truth-Nigeria’s Mike Odeh who recently returned from the area on special investigation, further disclosed that the Jihadists stormed homes and sacred places of worship (churches) in broad daylight unleashing terror and chaos as they shout Islamic war songs and burning homes and attacking churches and their worshippers.
Similar attacks also took place in Chanchengi, Amadu, Paver and environs which are predominantly Christian settlements sheltering displaced Christian families that recently fled Benue to escape Jihadist Fulani Militants’ attacks. The attack also affected the Holy Family Catholic Cathedral (attacked), Takum, with Rev. Father George Dogo as Parish Priest. Similar attacks were also reported in Wukari, Takum and Chanchengi, especially between Nov 5 and 9, 2025, leading to death of over 20 Christians and scores of others still missing or critically injured. The official death toll later rose to 22 as of Nov 16, 2025. According to Rev Father Timothy Shamaniyan of St Paul’s Parish in Katsina-Ala in neighbouring Benue State, “three parishioners were killed by Jihadist Fulani Militants on Sunday, Nov 16, 2025”.
The courageous Parish Priest spoke to Intersociety researchers on phone on Monday, Nov 17, 2025, disclosing that “his Parish was attacked and nearly emptied and his Parish’s Father’s House inside the Parish burned down by the Jihadists-who also shut down and occupied 26 outstations or mini parishes under his Parish and the Catholic Diocese of Katsina-Ala”. Intersociety had earlier on Saturday, Nov 15, 2025, spoken to Parish Priest of the Holy Family Catholic Cathedral in Takum, Rev. Father George Dogo, who disclosed that as of today, the area had lost at least 400 villages to Jihadist Fulani Militants who now kill, abduct and disappear defenceless Christians in the area especially young girls, women and children at will, unchecked and with impunity.
The most painful of it was that parishioners of St Paul’s in Katsina-Ala who had earlier fled into Taraba State and sheltered at the Holy Family Cathedral in Takum for safety and to escape Jihadist Fulani attacks, have also come under repeated jihadist attacks in places where they have run to and according to Rev. Father Titus Shmanyian: “most of my parishioners numbering more than 4,000-were taking refuge in Amadu and Chanchengi, but have now been forced to flee again, to the extent that in Chanchengi, I have about 500 left and about 150 in Amadu”. According to him, Jihadist Fulani Militants responsible are operating from the bushes and mountains surrounding Danjuma Farms (owned by former Army Chief, Gen Theo Danjuma). By our several calls made across the Taraba South, the number of those killed is likely to have risen to as much as 30 Christians-with scores still missing-including more than 22 killed between Nov 5 and Nov 9; six killed on Oct 29, and three killed during All Souls; Day on Nov 2, 2025.
According to Truth-Nigeria of Nov 5, 2025, Jihadist Fulani Militants accounted for the death of not less than nine Christians in recent attacks especially on Oct 29, 2025 when six were killed and during the All Souls’ Day on Nov 2, 2025 when at least three were also killed. Available records in possession of Truth-Nigeria and other reliable sources also indicated that hundreds of Christians have been abducted across Taraba State particularly in Takum, Bali and Wukari part of Southern Taraba since the beginning of January 2025. Two new Jihadist Fulani Forest Camps were also identified by locals and survivors especially in Taraba South where Christians, abducted in their hundreds, are dumped to lot away in captivity-during which dozens are made to die following torture or starvation or captivity killings. The two Fulani Terror Camps include “the Theo Danjuma Farms’ area” including its surrounding mountains and forests as well as “the Kashimbilla Dam”-close to the Cameroon border; described by some locals as “a new cross-border sanctuary for Jihadist Fulanis”. Other independent observers in the area also told Intersociety that the number of Christians abducted in the area in two weeks of Oct 28, 2025 to Nov 11, 2025 was likely to have risen to between 30.
A Church Prophet, His Wife And Scores Of Others Abducted In Christian Part Of Kogi State: Jihadist Fulani Militants (“Bandits”), operating in different forest locations across Kogi, Kwara and Nasarawa States, Nigeria’s major gateway into the Federal Capital City of Abuja on Oct 25, 2025, abducted two popular Christian clerics: Prophetess Iyabo Yagba Asuajo and her husband, Prophet Michael Asuajo, along Egbu-Eruku Road in Kogi State from where they have remained in captivity for more than 20 days. According to Sahara Reporters and other media sources, the route is located in Yagba East County of Kogi State and has become dangerous for dozens of travellers especially Christians especially in past two weeks. In a similar incident that occurred along Eruku-Obbo Ile axis in Ekiti County of Kwara State, a loaded bus belonging to the National Congress of Christian Evangelization, Operation Good News was attacked on Friday, Nov 7, 2025 by suspected “Fulani Bandits”, during which one church member was injured and others traumatized. Estimated ten Christian travellers have been abducted in the areas in the past two weeks.
14 Enugu Churches And Their 117 Worshippers Attacked And Massacred Since 2021: According to Intersociety’s Special Investigative Report of Monday, Nov 10, 2025, Jihadist Fulani Militants numbering dozens and backed by strongly suspected Government procured Helicopters were found to have laid siege on rural Christians in seven autonomous communities under Eha-Amufu in Isi-Uzo County of Enugu, during which the area was subjected to coordinated and systematic jihadist attacks especially from May 2021 to June 2025, killing between 300 and 500 local Christians. The jihadist attacks also led to the killing of not less than 117 Worshipper-Christians and burning down or destruction of not less than 14 churches including 12 Anglican and two Catholic Church Parishes; forcing more than nine of such churches to be closed down since more than four years and more than 70% of the area’s local inhabitants to flee their ancestral homes and abandon their livelihoods and education till date. This is to the extent that the three worst hit communities of Mgbuji, Abor and Aguamede have become a ghost town.
