The Silence of Good men In the Unjust Judgement Handed Down on Nnamdi Kanu By Justice James Omotosho

A popular quote by Albert Einstein states, "the world is dangerous place to live not because of the people who are evil but because of the people who don't do anything about it". The danger in hunting down evil is that the Hunter gradually becomes that which he seeks to destroy. Will you be able to take the risk? Each day that passes, the hunter becomes the hunted.

‎The only thing that pierces the heart of everyman is Truth; Truth can't be hidden, it can only be delayed, relegated, and ridiculed. If the sun didn't reveal the Truth, the rain would wash it out, or the earth beneath would throw it forth. And one thing about the Truth is that it is a seed planted by man, nurtured by man and ripened by man.

The just concluded case of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), was the most ridiculous verdict ever witnessed in history. "Show me the Law and where is the Law that justified the Ruling of the case?" A question still begging for an answer.

Who is afraid of Nnamdi Kanu? ‎

The southeast politicians or the Nigerian state? Who is vehement to see that he is permanently silenced?

‎Major General Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu declared the Republic of Biafra due to the unprovoked massacre of the people of the Southeast by the Nigerian population. The war lasted three years of genocide committed against the Southeast population, claiming over six million lives of innocent children, women and men.

It ended with a "No Victor No Vanquished" verdict.

A 3R policy was signed: Rehabilitation, Reconciliation, and Reconstruction. This was a part way to healing, but Nigeria never fulfilled this promise; instead, she has inflicted more pain on the already bleeding wound using various weapons like stigmatizing the Biafrans, marginalizing them and punishing them for even the most minor things.

‎After the death of Ojukwu in 2011, it was not surprising that another man stepped into his shoes, demanding the restoration of Biafra because the trauma of yesterday still lives unhealed. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been consistent in his resolve to secure the people of the Southeast region's exit from the Nigerian state through a referendum.

‎In 2021, he was kidnapped in Kenya and brought back to Nigeria after four years in exile by the rogue Nigerian government. They levelled accusations against him, but the ability to use the Law to sentence him became a big problem for the prosecutors.

‎The life sentence handed down to him remains under appeal, and there is hope that the injustice will be overturned at the Court of Appeal.

We call on the international community to intervene in the injustice perpetrated by a stooge Judge James Omotosho at the Federal High Court in Nigeria.

We demand the immediate release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from Sokoto prison.
